Fans doesn't realize how truly diversified and rare DMo in fact is.

Not only is he the only seven footer in the league who has ALL the following skills:

can put the ball on the floor like a guard
can run the floor like a power forward
can pass very well for a big man
    can shoot the three
    has exceptional post moves
    can hit the mid-range shot

but...in regards his offensive, and remembering that to be a successful NBA scorer a player must have an "arsenal" of shots and moves, consider these shots and moves DMo in addition has:

Mchale-like moves in the past (probably the only center in league with such moves)
    left handed hook shot
    right-handed hook shot
    running left-handed hook shot
    running right-handed hook shot
    mid-range jumper
    three point shot
close-range "push" shot (ala Chuck Hayes)
running dunk (which not all 7-footers have, like for exampler Omer)

By comparisan, TRob has basically two moves/shots:

a quick post move where he breaks to his left and lays it in
    running dunk

TJones....who knows, and who cares; its been so long that I've even seen him play!

    A quiet big warrior

I guessed we paid too much attention on the 4th spot and we overlooked a 5th spot where our big warrior has been quiet having a big performance for last 5 games: Big's stat last 5 games: FG%54.3 FT%71.4 REB10.4
BLK1.4 PTS9.6 way to go Big fellas.

jones isnt like howard or smith, more like a Lamar Odom when he was with the lakers. He's probably the best all around player. I want to see him hit the court after this stretch we're about to go on. Would like him to get some playoff experience.

Anyone else notice Trob is a midget? Went to the game last night and sat pretty close. Several times he was lined up against Walton and they were the exact same size. Walton is 6'8".

DMo's array of skills is certainly impressive theoretically. This is one of the most insidious problems faced by Euro players as they tend to see NBA players not pulling off the skills that they used to deploy back in the mickey mouse EuroLeague and hence think that NBA players are not "skilled" and lack "Fundamentals". They don't seem to realize that the difference in speed, strength and stamina between the NBA and whatever European league they are from is an absolute chasm. As an analogy, I may be a beast on my Sunday league football team, but compared to even an average English Championship division player, I am an absolute scrub. Therefore the question is not whether DMo knows how to do all those moves, everyone could eventually learn to do them if they set down to it, but whether he can pull those off consistently at NBA level and that's a mighty big "IF".

Also, the task of assessing the potential of a player is tantamount of asking whether said player can be a consistent contributor, and if yes, at what level. However, for a power forward to be a contributor at all, he must either play good D and rebound well or already has such an effective offensive game whatever he gives up on D is more than made up by what he achieves on O. At this moment in time, DMo has got none of those two down. However, Robinson is already a good defender and a tenacious rebounder. When projecting potential, in the case of DMo, it's all wishful thinking whereas in the case of T-Rob it is more about adding to an already solid base by developing athleticism and mobility which are already elite by NBA standards. That's basically why T-Rob is a 5# draft pick and DMo is not.

As for T-Jones, he is sadly an afterthought just like he was when on that all-conquering team with Davis and MKG.

DMo is more poor man's Sabonis than Dirk. No killer fadeaways. Great vision/passing, and ambidextrous back to the basket post moves. Similar baby hooks and spot up range. My hopes are highest with him.

Dmo- I'm not really sure who exactly is game is modeled after. It so unique
    Trob- more athletic Humphris
Tjones- I wonder if we can trade him to ATL for our pick back?

If Dmo can put on weight to reach sabonis level without losing speed, it would be scary as hell. In a good way

D-Mo. His combination of size, athleticism, and skill set are more rare, but he definitely needs more time.
