Based on their first NBA Rockets' game, TJones won me over.

All three are role players... Their role will depend on the teams needs. As of now D-Mo "fits" best. I personal like Jones's skill set / size / style of play the best Odomlike but plays with both hands. He could play all three front court spots. I would like to see Robinson just play D and rebound like a Rodman type with out the hair and dresses. Let them play to their strengths and keep them all. The coach should play the player at the time he needs that skill set.

Give dmo time to adjust to the physicality. He's extremely talented, but I'm miffed as to why jones has struggled to get pt early in the season, the injury etc didnt help

Important for people to remember there is a big reason Robinson went 5th and T Jones went 18th...

I think the pecking order right now has to go: DMo > Robinson > T Jones.

Either way though...we have 3 power forwards with unique abilities and unique play styles, and all are rookies.

My money's on Robinson. I just see the potential for something special in him. I look to see him take the starter's position within a year or two - that is, if he's not traded.

D-mo may turn out to be solid role player, but I see some holes in his game, especially his lack of strength in the low post. He needs to bulk up, but then if he does, he might lose what makes him effective as a player.

I do like the tandem of Robinson and D-mo, though. I think their skills complement each other very well.

OTOH Jones is a mystery to me. I haven't seen enough of him to make any judgement. He looked very good at the start of the season, so I'm puzzled why he's been relegated to the D-league for basically the entire season. Maybe he'll surprise if and when he becomes a regular part of the roster.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I think that TJones may emerge as our starting power forward before the beginning of next season. TJones does not have the glaring weaknesses that Both D-Mo and TRob currently have. TJones has the bulk to work in the paint, and he has a nice shot from the outside. TJones just appears to be a little slow in learning the system, so he doesn't always play with great confidence. I think another year of summer ball and training camp will really benefit all our rookies, but especially TJones since he already has an NBA body and good offensive skills. I really hope TJones has a chance to get on the floor for the Rockets over the next month.

I think Patterson was just better in defensive rotations and Mook and Patterson were ahead in the pecking order due to more consistent spacing....
can't be offense because y'all can see he is well rounded there.

Yeah, the PF rotation was definitely Patterson and Morris's to lose in the beginning of the season. And after they got traded, I remember Jones was fighting some sort of injury.

But still, I thought he would have gotten brought up more from the D-league throughout the season. But so far, not much.

I still think DMo has the most upside because of his rare blend of size and athleticism. He's already a better post player, shooter, and passer than the other two. What DMo has to do is work on his defense. If he does that, no doubt he'll be one of the better bigs in the NBA.

But all 3 have tremendous talent and at this early stage it's hard to prognosticate about how good any of them will be.

I think one of his best games were in an early loss against the Lakers

He scored around 10 points in nearly 20 minutes as I recall in regular season

It's pretty hard to say which will be definitively better than the other until next season comes around, but this is a good problem to have. I hope Jones at least gets some garbage time this season.
