hey very interesting! i think i will have to agree w/ this....we couldn't expose our hidden gem otherwise we would not be able to pull off any trades without giving him off.... D-Mo is our best young asset....his ceiling is the highest of our team...he shoots threes...he's 7 foot, fearless...passionate, post moves, quick feet...has the length to tip rebounds he's unable to fully secure...this kid is going to be scary good.... T-Rob is going to be our sixth man of the future...high energy four who rebounds and finishes around the basket....i like how our team is shaping up...
Bingo! Guys that think DMO wasn't getting it and had to earn his place in the rotation and that Patrick and Marcus were better than he was staying the season don't know what they're talking about. It was so obvious that we were playing out the string with Pat and Mook so that we could trade them for peak value. They wouldn't have gotten us anything in return if we had benched them for Donuts. We would have an extra 2-4 wind by now also. Just watch him go up like a Rocket til the end of the season. He'll wind up being #2 offensive option.
I don't think it's a mystery as to why Motiejunas did not play early in the season: He just wasn't as good at NBA basketball as he is now. All that work in practice, individual drills, the weight room, D-League, etc. are intended to get him better at basketball, right? If not, why do teams spend so much time and money on these things? Why do players put so much efforts into them both during the season and during offseasons? If you look at Motiejunas' garbage time stints from early parts of the season, he really looked rather overmatched and lost in these limited opportunities. He really did, you know, "improve" and "develop."
It sucked that we lost the game tonight but Dmo's play was the bright spot of the night. He had an overall good game tonight and I think that should be enough to get him a start. Carlos should understand since he is playing undersized at the 4, plus Carlos can get more playing time backing up both Dmo and Parsons.
I have a feeling DMo will be the starting PF as soon as the next game. Love Delfino, but he ain't no starting PF.
I love D-Mo, he plays with a lot of heart out there. You don't see him slacking off or whining. He still needs to work on his D a little but he's been showing some slick offensive moves in the last few games. And the dude can bang down the middle, nice offensive boards this game. Only shows 3 on the stat sheet but he was fighting down there for others.
Really? You criticized literally one of the easiest things to fix. You could say that about most rookie bigs & most of them have bulked up by years 3-4. Outside of Manute Bol, who wouldn't be able to bulk up when it's your job & you're paid millions to do it. 2001: Spoiler 2005: Spoiler 2025: Spoiler
Rockets probably only benched him because Morey didn't want other teams to involve him in trade talks.
