He can't get another offer form the nets so he'll have to find another team with salary cap to sign with
The Rox will not release him and he just can never play in the NBA again without our premission. He is done in the NBA.
I'm sure we may have to place a few well know posters on suicide watch at the moment . All kidding aside the botched trade at the deadline last year with Detroit stings much much worst now .
I just can't believe this is what DMo wants. Always seemed to be down-to-earth and not caring about the money of it all as much. Yet now whether it's his agent or not, he seems to be ruining his career for nothing. I don't understand.
Are you talking about the Sam Amick report of $31m versus the $37m? If so, then there is no lost money between match v no-match. I tweeted Bobby Marks at TheVertical who wrote that contract details article for Woj. He says there is no difference, everything BimaThug detailed still works. Amick was just stating Base Salary, whereas the cap hit has always been $35m, and "Unlikely" incentives (which don't count against the cap until achieved) make it a possible $37m. Here's Bobby Marks tweet to me
Blind optimistic take: Let's hope history repeats itself: Although the Rockets couldn't know it at the time, missing out on Bosh and Parsons that summer turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as both players would be mired in injury problems for their careers... Although the Rockets couldn't know it at the time, not signing Dmo turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as they were able to use their cap flexibility to [ACQUIRE/TRADE]* NBA [STAR/SUPERSTAR]* by the name of [________]* *blanks are TBD by future Morey.
BJ himself failed to report when he got selected by the Raptors in the expansion draft. He's punking out his clients like he punked out.
My questions were rhetorical and your answer just shows that you have no idea of what kind of braindead idiot Rose is.
Because you have to do the right thing for your team at the end of the day, and screw personal vendettas. In this case the right thing for the Rockets to do is to retain their positive chemistry, give more minutes to those who are thriving (namely Harrell & Dekker & potentially Wiltjer) and preserve the cap space for this Summer to go hard after a Gordon Hayward or someone that can bolster the swing or guard position further. Matching another offer for D-Mo in 2 weeks, 2 months or whatever would just make the situation worse. At least if you punish him this way by sending him back to RFA, or to Europe he's out of sight and out of mind where it doesn't affect the team in its current state. However if he changes his tune, fires BJ, and decides he wants to come back in good standing after clearing the air, sure I'd match a similar or better deal. But no way I drag him and BJ's ass into this locker room after this situation has taken place. He's got to be the one to make it right if he wants to be a Rocket.
