Just go with DD's suggestion of emailing Clutch or DD. This way if it goes down, you get some credibility.

It's easy to be vague about things, and if something big happens (which is the most likely scenario since it's known we're trying to move TMac) get credit for it, and if nothing happens, fall under the umbrella of trade talks breaking down last minute, etc.

Thinking about it further, no way some Aussie has a line towards what's brewing.

    1. How?

    2. DM has already said, along with a lot of other people, if anything, a trade is going to go down towards the deadline as teams start to get desperate.

I would love to have Gerald Wallace. I have had a serious man crush on this dude for a long time.

Prince nor Wallace are legit shooting guards, I thought that was one of the biggest holes on the team?

Neither of these guys are are the type to create shots under pressure at the end of a game.

I could definitely see morey getting prince though he's like a another version of battier, the type of player he values most.

To be honest, I don't see Detroit players in this at all. Gerald Wallace, however....

So, Charlotte would be that Third Team. Charlotte would want to cut Wallace's long-term dollars, I guess. And sell tickets. But they need to keep their success going.

If Tmac plays well, the Bobcats score a coup. If he doesn't play so well, they save money. And I BELIEVE, but am not so sure, that Tmac's wife attended NC State or has some ties to the area, so they wouldn't scream too much if they had to move there for awhile.

But Gerald Wallace, while a really nice addition, seems like less of a splash than Aussie Fozzy is implying.

And there is still that Second Team (Sac? Philly? Tor? Wash?) out there. The team that's less of a mystery.

Toronto could use Gerald Wallace in a big way. They have no defense. But the implication is we keep Gerald. But there is still that Big to Run Alongside Yao out there.

I would guess Diaw and Shane for Bosh, maybe? Hmn. Must go waste more time with this on espn's Trade Checker.

Why do people think someone in Australia has any clue what is going on in the Houston front office? I could have started this thread and say the same damn thing, except I'd be more credible since I actually LIVE here.

    This should be locked.

You want inside info? I'll give you inside info. I wouldn't dare start a new thread on this subject, but I thought I'd slide it in here.

I don't know AussieFozzy, but I do know this outrageous rumour, totally unsubstantiated, based completely on hearsay: Yao will be back this year. In March, or April at the latest.

Yes, according to a friend of mine who's in a joint business venture with Yao and had dinner with him a few weeks ago, Yao is planning a mid-March return.

In fact, this same friend is a close acquaintance of Yao's chief financial adviser, and this adviser has been saying since summertime that Yao is planning to surprise everyone with a return in the spring of '10.

Now all the necessary caveats and disclaimers: I don't buy this rumour. I don't think my friend is a liar, but there's no way Yao is planning a comeback this season and kept it under wraps all along. Perhaps this financial adviser is mistaken - or exaggerating in order to attract more investors to do business with Yao - or perhaps Yao has said that he feels he might be ready to play by the spring, but I doubt he will, as Morey, Adelman, et al, will want him to heal fully before re-evaluating him for next season.

(Of course, he'll play for China over the summer, re-injure the foot, and face an abrupt retirement, but let's not talk about that right now.)

I've been hearing this rumour about Yao's comeback from this friend for several months now but said nothing on this board because I doubt the rumour's credibility. Now I'm throwing it out there to be bandied about, discussed, dismissed, and to initiate the process of my eventual disgraceful departure from this board. (I'm kidding on the last one; I'll never leave! BWA-HAHAHAH.)

If, however, Yao is back this season, then you heard it here first!

Disregarding for the moment the questionable verisimilitude of the OP, has anyone taken note of the Bobcats lately? Like a .500 record, virtually unbeatable at home, winner of 8 of their last 10; Crash and S-Jax meshing like pb & j? Now I know Larry Brown is a trade'm freak, but Bobs being in major trade talks on this day? I'd sooner buy the Aussie's story, and I ain't buying.

    TROOF

Plus, would Charlotte really let go of Wallace considering they have a chance at a playoff berth?

He did talk about a SUPERSTAR in his first post.. And the Rockets have been linked to NOH in crazy deals in the past.

I thought he said there is 3 other teams involved instead of 3 teams involved, meaning Rockets be that 4th team. I think i already guessed the teams Hou, Tor, Bos, Phi.. We could be i'm not saying 'is' the trade, but could be the deal and we only lose Scola, Ariza, Hayes, Battier, McGrady.

He said 3 teams, not 3 OTHER teams. One team hasn't been mentioned and the other has been mentioned numerous times.

Depending on how your looking at it from a fan stand point or front office stand point? 3 teams means not including the Rockets.

Or just count? He listed one as not mentioned and the second as mentioned quite often. That's 2 + 1 (Rockets) = 3

If "no trade is imminent" i don't know why he wouldn't just spill the beans.. Because this means the trade talks aren't serious, so just rumors i'm guessing.
