OP... Please forgive the short-sightedness of these moronic Rockets fans... People who truly watch and understand the game know that DJ Augustine is ABSOLUTELY a starting caliber point guard in this league.

Rondo is ball dominant and literally has to have it to be halfway useful.
Augustin is a very good fit, Lin too

What's crazy is that Rockets fans of all people should recognize Augustine as a starting caliber point guard.

When given consistent minutes he has good numbers. Scores off the dribble and spot ups and also gets to the FT line. Has a high percentage of drives to the basket. We NEED another player that can do that. Had some PnR TO issues but seems to have gotten that under better control. We just need guys that can create their own shots and he could do that for cheap. I'm not saying make him a high priority, but if you get Horford and another near max guy, adding him would be good. Can't go sign all all-stars people. Gotta find those vets that could make a difference (i.e. Barbosa)

DJ and Durant were Longhorns together. Wonder if he and maybe Horford could help recruit KD...

I would LOVE to snag DJ Augustin at one-fifth the price.

THe big name PGs in this free agency period are simply not that good. DJ can play.

He was a starter for 14 games in Denver last year.

He averaged 18.6 points on 45% shooting, 40% from three.

He also averaged 7.6 assists with only 3 turnovers.

Thank you. People need to do a little research on players before they start talking. When given a chance he has produced solid numbers. People act like if he is not a household name and a star player he not good. Could be a solid backup or maybe starter. Scores better than Bev..

Give me Bayless as a back up and you know we won't replace Beverley unless it's a trade for Rubio.

Well poop on stick! Really liked the guy. Oh well, wish we had Mickey and Donald Duck to help with recruiting.
