Umm explain. It would be a good idea to not call someones post stupid without backing it up. And thread titles need to be short to fit and its not my fault you assumed it meant something it didn't.

I posted it talking about it as a possibility. It was at the tiome. If I posted saying this is going to happen rather than it might happen I could see the reactions I'm getting. But as it was not you all need to stop and quit acting as if talking about taking the division lead is such a horrible thing because it hasn't happened yet. And anytime I can ejaculate is fine by me.
It's stupid when people post threads with stupid declarative titles like "Division lead and 2nd seed tonight!!!" when neither of those things is actually going to happen tonight. You know, "If Spurs lose to Nuggets, Rockets take Division lead and 2nd seed" fits just fine and took about 5 seconds to come up with and type. I can't believe you tried to use thread title length as an excuse for your poor judgment. Consider my post explained.
If jinxes work, then the OP needs to start 2 new threads on how the Spurs and the Lakers are going to win in their next games.
It's explained but doesn't mean I agree. Any fan knows we don't have the lead right now. I read a post like mine and it makes me want to go and find out how and how close we are to getting it. That's how it is on every other message board I've ever been on (49ers, Cubs, Purdue). Guess some of you think your ways is the only way to post.
I think the people that are upset are acting that way because alot of us are taking the "stay humble" motto to heart, including in our fandom. Anyway your sig needs to change, before an admin makes you to change it.
Really? I'm so surprised. On this particular message board? Yeah, there is a way to post, and it doesn't include misleading or false thread titles. I've posted on plenty of other message boards myself, and none of them are anywhere near as well run as this one, and there are reasons for it.
It wasn't false or misleading at the time it was posted. Taking those was a very real possibility. As I said you took it one way which was the wrong way. The title could mean that its a possiblity or that it has happened. Although if it had happened just about anyone would have written "Division lead and 2nd seed" They would have left out the tonight. By including tonight it elludes to it has yet to happen but is a possibility. And yes this board is well run but threads like this 9atleast until you and a few others decided to make it something that it wasn't intended to be) aren't what make other sites bad. It's admins who allow spam and multiple posts that are the same thing.
First of all, it was misleading. There's really no way to dispute that, though I'm sure you'll keep on trying. Imagine, if you can, that someone posts a thread in the NBA Dish titled "Alonzo Mourning dead tonight!!!" and then posted about how he's in the hospital being treated for kidney problems. Are you starting to see what I'm getting at here? The title makes a claim that is not true, regardless of whether it's likely to happen or not. If you can't see that, I honestly don't know how to get it through your head. What about following someone into an unrelated thread only to make a condescending remark? (which made no sense, by the way)
I can see what you are saying. I have said multiple times now that the thread title can be taken multiple ways. You took it the wrong way.
anytime you finish a title with an exclamation mark, much less 3, that is considered a loud statement and not a possibility.... next time try using question marks as that would leave the statement in doubt. regardless someone looking at this thread tomorrow would assume the spurs lost and they didnt.
lots of class. You got way to much time on your hands and quite honestly if this type of crap is tolerated then I'll be done on this site and I was thinking about donating up until this thread. If this board wants to be a great board then the people who make this type of crap need to be kicked no matter how long they have been members.

I agree with what people have been saying in that the thread title was misleading and was very premature. Anytime you do something like this, you'll get flamed by everybody.....especially in the GARM, where accurate information is a must. I know that it may be hard for people who just got on the site, but you just have to learn to deal with it. This is actually a great site with a lot of intelligent and witty people, even though sometimes the amount of lame sarcasm is really annoying.
