We were posting about where you can find xmas ale early in its release and late in its release... finding it in december actually gets pretty difficult... and january, nearly impossible.
And not in Austin where it was abundantly available even in January.....not that I'd want to drink any of that sewer water
It is literally in boxes in every grocery store in Houston well through New Years day, Donny must not be looking hard And there are plenty of better beers out there, especially if you live in Colorado like me
St. Arnold's Christmas Ale beats the **** out of Shiner Holiday Cheer. Would love to taste a divine. Somebody hook a brother up.
That X-mas Ale? They were selling it for $4.99 a sixer in Baytown around January. I tried it and was not impressed.
Woo-hoo! The Whip In has cask of Divine #11 and #6 on tap. Looks like it's going to be a beer tasting evening.
Speaking of Local Breweries, does anybody like Southern Star? I'm pretty partial to the Blonde Bombshell out of the can.
I would always buy the original tall boys when I could at Spec's. I like it. The bombshell is all I drink at Moontower and enjoy it with a few dogs. It's from Conroe.
Absolutely. Buried Hatchet Stout is my favorite but I also love the Bombshell Blonde. All 3 of their offerings blow away all the regular stuff from St. Arnolds.
I was able to get another 6'er at Kroger on 11th and Shepherd about an hour ago...but they were running low.
i have a specs that will likely be carrying DR#11 for days bc no one goes to it... i, for one, am a fan of st. arnolds xmas ale although it doesn't hold a candle the likes of anchor and a few other primo craft brews. southern star is a damn fine brewery, though. they're selection is quite limited but every beer of theirs i've had (all 2 of them) have been very good.
Ahhhh.....sippin on a tap Divine Reserve #11 right now. I love IPAs and this one is good. Up next #6!
pine belt ale, ftw! there's a place in katy where you get $2 texas drafts on thursdays and they have all the southern stars.
Just scored a sixer at the Specs in Victoria. Though they had to pull it out of the back. All I can say is, holy dry hops Batman! Not quite DFH 90, but close.
i went into live oak market in south austin for a cuban sandwich and they had two bottles of #11 sitting at the counter for $2.99 each - just sitting there right next to the register, all casual-like. truly a godsend, as i wasnt able to get a 6-er when it was released. i have to say that so far the divine reserves, although good, have been not worth the hype (ive had 6, 9 and 10) - but this one is excellent, and im not even a big IPA fan. the only other IPA i like is harpoon, but the #11 is on another level.
