Vlade played horrible for the last third of the season and spent most of his time riding the pine while Darius Songalia played more and more efficient minutes.

Divacs is actually a pretty special player...

His best season was something like 16-10, 4 assists, 2 blocks, 1+ steals. He's not an explosive jumper, but gets steals and blocks through playing smart. Also he's a good rebounder for being white and slow.

This is themost interesting part to me. Quentin is a pretty dang serviceable player, and not going to the Suns is good for the Rockets.

If Malone did go to the Spurs, would he come off the bench or would TD finally move to center?

My first hope re: Malone is that he leaves the Lakers. I can't root for Rudy if he's there and I badly want Rudy to succeed. My second hope re: Malone is that he doesn't retire. I'm not done with the rivalry. I'd love it if he went to the Spurs or the Heat -- just one more huge thing to up the ante on those rivalries. And I'm not worried about him getting a ring. I know, from all those NBA players that are always thanking God when they win, that God follows NBA ball and takes it very seriously. And I know God would never allow Malone to get a ring.

I'd have loved to have got Divacs. I hate his flopping and whining, but he's a solid player, respected by Yao (IIRC) and could have taught him a lot. Feels right to me he'd finish in LA though, and I'm glad for Rudy he's going there. He'll be a help.

...and that is what many here do not know.

I bet the choice of LA came naturally to Divac. Hey I even bet he will take 2.5m from the Lakers just to be in LA.

I thought he was more like 46. Damn, this guys younger than me?

He doesn't want to come to Houston and if he doesn't want us, I don't want him, especially if he's asking for heavy Kuna.

Divac can teach Yao a lot on passing. That is a good think if we get him

Yes that would be a good think

But c'mon let's be real here there's no shot. Why would he want to come here when he can start for the Lakers.

I pretty much agree. Remember that two teams that have seen him play on a daily basis decided to let GP go. Additionally, no way (in my opinion) that LA would resign him if they had an option.

I suspect he will have his moments, but not long stretches.

CD called Divac but he got a message:" We are sorry, the number you try to reach has been disconnected or no longer in service, please check your number and try you call again."
