Wow, this sounds so bad!!! It's a reminder we follow the career of thugs or people we wouldn't hang around with in real life. I've defended Griffin a lot, but now I don't. Sure, I don't know the facts, but if he did shoot his girlfriend over some extorsion issue, the guy deserves to be in jail. I don't care if someone is extorting money from you, you don't shoot them. Anybody who has money, must realize that some women want that money and are willing to do anything for it. Fools and their money are quickly departed. I'm so glad we have a good guy like Yao to lead the Rockets now.

The Chronicle's story is now showing that is was updated at 12:17. Reports that girlfriend was not hit, but are investigating allegations that EG shot at her. So if she is O.K., where the hell is Eddie?
The only thing I can think of is that he shot/shot at her, then left for a friend's house, and had enough sense to make a call to the police saying what had happened.
if he shot at her he better be on his way to Mexico... would this be considered attempted murder or aggravated assault or something else?
Well, Eddie is finished...sad but true. I suspect that the Rockets could have done something to prevent this from happening, but I guess it'sreally not the team's business. Eddie will be released soon and his NBA career is over. I just feel really sad about this. Eddie could've had it all. Money, fame, everything. And he just threw it all away.
I wish I shared your sentiment that EG has that much sense. After reading about his behavior over the past couple of weeks, I doubt he has that much sense. I would guess a friend or relative of the girlfriend called the police.

So far, we really don't know what happened. Based on what I've heard around here, I wouldn't believe anything this woman said. Hell, she may have shot at him. Sounds like Eddie is in some kind of hell right now.
