CHRONICLE FRONT PAGE Houston police are investigating allegations that Rockets' forward Eddie Griffin assaulted his girlfriend and shot at her at his southwest Houston home early this morning. The woman was not hit by the gunfire, but told police Griffin shot at her, a Houston police department spokesperson said. The incident, which was reported to police shortly after 5 a.m., allegedly occurred at Griffin's home in the 3900 block of Shadow Trace Circle, located in the gated, upscale Shadowlake community. Police have not yet spoken with Griffin, and his whereabouts later today were unknown, said HPD spokesman Alvin Wright. No one at Griffin's home called police, but the gunfire was reported in a phone call made from the other side of town, Wright said. Officers at the scene early today refused to comment. Griffin's next-door neighbor, Seetha Raman, reported he did not hear any gunfire, but was awakened in the middle of the night by police officers in his driveway.
I am very serious. I am surfing all news channels to see if I can find any more on this. As far as his girlfriend, they did not identify the woman or her relationship, if any, to Eddie. However, you may be right.
My gawd.....Eddie is screwed up. The Rockets should have had some help for him in teaching him about all these HOs who trap them with childcare payments. I hope it all works out, but Eddie is in deep doo doo. DD
You sure?, I am watching msnbc righ now and I don't see anything about it, just updats on kobe bryant and pat riley, and nothing is listed on msnbc.com
Let's hope this isn't accurate information. But if Eddie shot the mother of his child. He's never going to play in the NBA again. Obviously, this is just speculation at this point, but it looks pretty bad right now. On the bright side. Cato and Braggs looked great last night. We are talking about roster moves here aren't we?
Look it up David. How many people died in the United States last year from gunshot wounds? And compare that to how many people died from planes crashing into big buildings over the last 5 years. That should put it into perspective.
Then we'd deal with it... So, can "what if" all you want... You are still over reacting, before the fact.
So Eddie SHOT her or SHOT AT her??? If he shot her, well, then Id say his NBA career is pretty much over. If he shot at her, well, then Id say that might be attempted murder and his NBA career may still be over. This is the most bizarre thing. UNFRICKINBELIEVABLE.
All of this over his daughter. At least Eddie cares enough about his daughter to stick up for her. All I gotta say.
Yes. It was a short news story near the top of the hour. The Houston Chronicle's front page says no one was shot and I hope that is the case. However, it seems Eddie is in deep.
