    this. and the only reason why I watched Shang Chi was because I had a nonstop from San Diego to NYC early this year and it was one of the movie options. marvel should have ended it with infinity wars. superhero movies are super stale

    Blade, the first modern Black superhero on the screen. He did Kung Fu and shot guns. He fought vampires but the sun doesn’t affect him .

    pretty straight forward story , how can marvel screw that up?
    Oh the ‘rumor’ was the script had a ‘better’ female vampire hunter

    Yeah pretty much the same formula as the newer movies

    His daughter was going to be the focus of the story. Woke? I don't know. But I think we have enough gender-flipped heroes in the MCU now. We good.

    It's so funny that people talk about how they HATE MARVEL MOVIES
    but love this one.

    A Superpowered multiversal semi comedial action movie . . ... . wow . . .. . seems very on brand for a Marvel Movie

    No one is stopping ANYONE making movies
    Most times I hear people talk about stopping MArvel Movies to make "quality movies"
    They recommends some bullsh!t like The Irishman, The Duel Movie, or some other crap no one went or wanted to see
    Hell . .. people love The Joker but it would have flopped very hard if it were not called THE JOKER!
    Seriously . . . .No Connection to DC Comics and it flops hard.


    ONE MORE THING
    These shows don't failed because of WOKENESS
    They fail cause they SUCK!!!!

    Also . . . . People Throw Around the word FLOP Alot
    But they only flop in the social sense. . . people not liking them . .or not feeling it is quality
    These movies are still ABSOLUTELY PUTTING @SSES IN SEATS

    Most of the FLOPS are by the STANDARD Marvel has set
    Any Marvel Movie that doesn't make a Billion is not considered a Flop

    I think in the next Phases they just need to scale back the budgets to 100 - 150 Million and they will be fine. I think they allowing too much budget creep . .. .. IF I were them I would look more into the accounting first.

    Antman was made on a 130 Mill budget
    Made 519 million over all . . . . that ain't hay!!!

    I actually like the Marvel movies. Now 60% of the Disney+ stuff I can do without. The only movie that was not so great was the Eternals

    Victoria Alonso, the longtime and high-profile Marvel Studiosexecutive whose time with the company dates back to the first Iron Man, has left the studio, multiple sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

    The reasons for the exit are unclear, but she parted ways with Marvel on Friday, sources say.

    Alonso had been with the company since earliest days of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, establishing an enviable 17-year run and watching the studio grow from operating above a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Beverly Hills to being acquired by Disney. During her tenure, the MCU became the highest-grossing franchise in film history.

    It’s definitely overboard. But gay people and strong women do exist. They just need to be an organic part of the story, not shoehorned in.
