I went to D23 and signed up for a special package. I think I paid like $275ish up front for 5 years and it included ESPN + HULU. I'm better than all yall.

I waffled on that deal even though I knew I was going to be in with my kids. Glad you got it.

My sauce at Disney indicates that Hulu might not live on much longer. Their new streaming service, Star, will take on the content that many thought was going to Hulu. Hulu's contract with NBC expires in a year or so, and other than that they will just have FX stuff. So why bother keeping it around?

Fwiw this is just the sauce speculating, but I bet the sauce is right.

It's a shame because Hulu is a good product, but Disney prefers building a new thing from the ground up.

Can't say I'll miss it. I only watch Netflix, Disney + (for Mandalorian only) and Amazon Prime.

Hulu is probably the service I use the most along with Netflix.

Disney+, so far, is as poor product. Clunky website. Almost no original content. The original content that exists is just spinoffs of established things.

I keep prime for the shipping but almost nothing worth watching on there. Apple+ has been generally bad. I think HBO Max is on the right. track though.

AppleTV + has a few good shows, but the value is sometimes with the bundle opportunities. I get Showtime AND CBS ALL-ACCESS (no ads) for a total of $9.99 because I pay the $4.99 for Apple TV+

HBO Max is free for me because of my AT&T unlimited plan.

Disney+ $12.99 (soon to be $13.99) bundle with Hulu (no ads) and ESPN+ is a good value.

Never a huge fan of Hulu and their ad/no ad tier. And a ton of their content is just network TV stuff, like (looks) 1,000-LB Sisters , which I can do without ever knowing exists.

If you've been on the fence, Disney+ about to go up.

As of 03/26/21, price of Disney+ will be $7.99/month or $79.99/year. The price of The Disney Bundle with Hulu (Ad-supported) will be $13.99/month and The Disney Bundle with Hulu (No Ads) will be $19.99/month. Prices for existing subscribers will increase on first bill on or after 3/26/21.

I did that prelaunch promotion where you got like a 40% discount if you prepaid for 3 years, so I assume nothing changes for me.
