Anyone tried this yet? I'm kind of thinking about it. First I need to find out if our cell phones are able to view it.

Basically, Dish Network has a Sling Box-like plug in (or you can buy a receiver with one already in it) that lets you watch your tv live or any DVR program you have recorded. Best part is that supposedly it's free after you buy the extension (which is 100 bucks I believe). Sounds like something that I'd be interested in, considering I sometimes work nights and evenings.

Is this better than a slingbox? It seems like it would be because, theoretically, more than one person can access your tv (a question I'd have to ask Dish), and it also seems cheaper...

Multiple folks can access your slingbox as well, just not at the same time. I have my slingbox connected to my Dish receiver and it works well for my purpose (watching via my laptop or my iPad).

To clarify, multiple folks can acess at the same time, but only one can control.

Hey EddieWasSnubbed...did you go through with TV Everywhere? My wife and I are considering it. Just curious how it was working (if you took the dive). I'm frequently out during Rockets games, and think this would be a way to keep track of the games while I'm away.
