btw, if what you said is correct, the league pass won't help you either coz all rox games are blocked in rox home coverage area on the league pass. you have to change your tv provider to whoever carries FSN-Houston.
I am in the Wyoming area, our local services are Bresnan and Qwest. I use Bresnan, is there a way I can watch the Rockets other than LP? Aren't there website where you can stream the game real time? I want to get league pass broad band or on TV but heard that it isn't that reliable and that Rockets games are subjected to blackouts..haven't seen an actual game since 08-09 (vs LA in Playoffs)
I hope that Dish and Fox can sign a deal soon. I have been looking at DirecTV and I don't see how its any better than Dish (other than the fact that they now have FSN and Dish doesnt) ... other than that DirecTV seems to be more expensive and offers the same crap. The Rockets should drop the contract with FSN and go with someone else.
Why does this only affect Dish Network? How about DirectTV and Comcast....does FOX increase the rate for those providers as well?
if you do live in wyoming state not wyoming drive in houston  , rox games shouldn't be blackout.
They are willing to pay is my guess. Dish is cheap. And FOX is being the typical bully. I'm sure they're negotiating... Direct TV is the best out there for sports. Period.
it depends on the contract. i guess the contract btw dish network and fox is up. well, others are not yet. eventually, everyone is going to be effected. don't think youself is a lucky person in the world.
They did try to create their own network, they were really close too. Until FSN raised the amount offered. It was too good of a deal to pass up, IIRC. And in trying to create their own network they ran into a few issues.
it might be one reason for fox to raise the price. anyway i don't lik fox. i don't watch any program on fox channels.
Murdock, who owns Fox is also part owner of Direct TV There is no reason to gouge his own company. Gouging a competitior however makes perfect sense.... Its likely other companies contracts end with Fox at different times. They will likely encounter this issue as well when thier contracts are up.
What??? Sorta confused by this. I've had LP through DN for the past three seasons. It's the only way I can watch the Rockets here in Vegas without going to the casinos.
you can order the league pass now from dish network. please login into your online account and select "order pay-per-view" and choose "sports". you will see two options for nba league pass. select 2nd one with broadband access. then pay your due. have fun.
But didnt others post that Rockets games on NBA LP will be blacked out in Houston. So if you are in Houston how will LP help? I guess its good for those who aren't in the Houston market.
1st, make the thing clear. i don't live in Houston. 2nd, you're absolutely right. 3rd, please read all posts i did on this thread. you will see i've already stated what you said in my other posts.
thanks just signed up..got a great deal and nfl sunday ticket for free so excited to see how the HD is
ahhh...got it. I've had my account on recurring re-order since I first signed up and they automatically do it for me. Sent my email over to the President at DN already...not so much for the Fox Sports channels (Dodgers, Angels, Lakers, Clippers)... but if I miss a single episode of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, I'm gonna be ape**** pissed!
