Yea I can see how that can be frustrating. I tried to watch a couple of football games today online and it was annoying as heck.
I have Comcadt and the basic NBA tv. Which is just the 1 NBA channel. I called and have uverse coming in Tuesday to get uverse but now I'm lost. I can watch all the Rockets games but I don't know if I can do without NBA tv. I hate comcast but those are the only 2 choices as I'm in a building.
Great way to top off my terrible weekend. In order to be able to watch the Rockets games, I had to upgrade from the Bronze package to Bronze plus for an extra $5 a month, then I had to buy the Sports package for another $10 a month. Now THIS?! I'm about to cry.
I have been a dish customer for over 10 years!! If they don't get this resolved, I will be moving to Uverse. Gotta watch my rockets!!
So Fox Networks Group is raising the price and Dish Network is trying to negotiate the price down. And the customers are being held hostage. The blames goes to both Fox and Dish.
Flood DishNetwork with feedback emails: http://www.dishnetwork.com/customerService/contactus/email/default.aspx
FYI I just switched from Direct tv to U-verse. Overall Direct tv is great but it is more expensive. U-verse is a better as far as the price and also in that you can record from any receiver in the house and watch from any recordings on any tv. The only draw back to U-verse is that they are not able to install everywhere yet and they do not have the NBA TV and MLB Network channel. They do however have the NFL network channel.
That's what i'm talking about. I watch the Usa on espn3 all the way to the gold. Like you said, the internet does not maintain connection, but it wasn't that bad. If i was able to be home to watch the games, I would buy the NBA package online.
I'm a Dish customer myself and I am locked in for 2 years because of the contractual agreement I entered for the special promo a few months ago. Anyways, I called Dish Tech Support today and this news is relatively new to them as well apparently. He gave me 2 avenues for customers to voice their concerns on this issue: 1) Call Fox Network personally -- 310-369-1000 2) Email the President of Dish -- President@dishnetwork.com He said they are still under negotiations and that hopefully the issue will get resolved soon. He also mentioned that if that were to happen as a worst case scenario, there would possibly be ALT (alternate) feeds as a "work-around" solution. I don't how viable or consistent that would be being that FOX monopolizes almost every televised game out there. Hope this helps...
