Is that how you justify stopping short of burning a cross on the guys lawn? What did he say that deserves a mob at his door?

It's criminal and contributes to the chilling of debate in this country, but sure, it's not a big deal.

Lol, nothing I said amounts to a defense of antifa. I don't like antifa. I said this alleged incident was wrong and illegal. I didn't hedge by saying their ends were laudable or that Carlson had it coming or anything like that. The only argument I made was that to call chanting in the street 'terrorism' was a stupid exaggeration.

As the Daily Caller reports, it is now being investigated as a hate crime, which seems appropriate. There were threats, vandalism, arguably assault. I don't get why there were not arrests on the spot, but it looks like the cops may try to identify individuals and arrest them, as they should.

As for being classified a terror organization. I tried to find a list. A list of foreign terrorist organizations does exist. Even though antifa is an international movement, they're not on there. For domestic terrorism, there isn't a list but there was this article about a leak of a confidential DHS memo that said they were "engaged in domestic terrorist violence." They do these gymnastics because Antifa isn't an organization itself. It's a decentralized movement. The organization in question here is called Smash Racism DC, and they seem like a bunch of a-holes. Apparently the same group that ran Cruz out of a restaurant, had a plan to shut down the DC metro for the inauguration (which didn't come to fruition), and advocated violence on twitter and on TV. I have not seen an allegation against them of actual violence, but there is only so much I can do with google.

I don’t think scaring the **** out of the wife and kids of a guy with differing political views isn’t a cause for concern. It’s intentionally trying to harass, intimidate and threaten innocent people and something everyone should not condone.

Well, there are a growing number of "people" that think just that way, unfortunately.

I think he deserves whatever the hell he gets.....maybe he should realize there are consequences for his actions. If you are a racist git, don't be surprised if people eventually come calling.

I wouldn't participate, but I am not surprised in this climate with the President saying he would punch someone and being a racist, that people would overeact.

Maybe he will consider a little more about his BULLSHIT rhetoric and lies he spews on Fox that are harmful to people of color and others.....

No sympathy for him at all.

    DD

PS. Also fine with ruining people's dinners by holding them accountable for their actions, you want peace? Start working on PEACE in congress.

It would be nice if you would elaborate...otherwise, not sure what you are talking about.

It isn't anything I condone. I am against them doing that. It isn't an act of terrorism, and it isn't really newsworthy to me in isolation.

That's all that I was saying. I definitely wasn't defending it or thinking it was alright to do that. There is no way that it is. It violates several laws and the people that broke those laws should be prosecuted. Calling it an act of terrorism isn't accurate and is an overreaction. There were multiple laws broken. I am in favor prosecuting anyone that broke those laws.

Tucker Carlson has had multiple guests on that have talked about Camp of the Saints glowingly and he has agreed with them.

Google the book, it is about killing entire populations of immigrants.

Ok I'll google it, but how hard is it to provide a link?

Also, while the book may be (perhaps) odious, what we're talking about is Tucker's reaction.

Something like that is highly subjective and debatable (how someone reacts), and open for interpretation -- unless, of course, you can provide a link showing him doing what you are talking about (and maybe even then).

I've listened to Tucker a lot in recent months. I overwhelmingly agree with and approve of everything he says. This is the first I've heard of this camp of saints business.

Ok did some Googling: All I see is HuffPo and Young Turks talking about this. I'd hardly call those credible sources. And I'm not clicking on that YT video. So color me unconvinced so far.

Moreover, this "Camp of Saints" Tucker Carlson show was back in April. Why are the Antifa protesting this now? Did they have to walk all the way from West Coast to get to DC?
