Sorry. So many Stevie fans here...

But how do they differ on that issue?

Treeman, its cuss some people just choose to be habitual Drew haters, and keep saying "he sucks, he sucks, Francis rules, I don't care, he sucks!"

Francis is awesome, but is still making many mistakes.

Drew has grown into decent here and that for some is hard to accept.

Yeh. Francis is better (I don't think there's any need for argument there), but Drew is pretty good too.

And interestingly, Drew is actually still improving, while Stevie's still doing about the same (he's a rookie - he ought to be learning heavily). Stevie's still clearly superior in every way, but... Drew ain't too bad for a 2nd year white boy PG [IMG] In fact, I think he can be a really good scorer if he can be more consistent in shooting. And he's paying more attention to assistance lately...

But this IS Stevie's team. Drew is a backup PG, and as long as Stevie's here the best Bryce can hope for is starting at SG (hehe).

Drew has his moments, but let's remember whose team this is...

  4. In what aspect has Drew been improving
    his game this year?

    He's averaging 21 mins a game
and grabs 1 rebound a game
gets one steal about every 2 games
is shooting 40 percent from the field
and has 1 block for the entire season.

His Freethrows are consistant for his
    career

So far this year in averaging 21 mins a
game (as compared to 14 last year)

So in 7 more minutes a game e is
    averaging:

    .6 more rebounds a game
    .6 more assists a game
    .4 more turnovers a game
    4 more points a game
and puts up a shot much more regularly (per minute that is)

The only part of his game he has improved enough to notice is his 3 point shooting. up from .320 to .420.

Again, Im saving myself from bashing Drew here, but Im not seeing this lightyears of improvement your speaking of.

And why do people keep saying Drew get his team mates involved so much more than Francis. Steve is averaging 6 assists per 34 mins. While Drew is averaging 1.5 per 21 mina a game.

That's what I am saying, those Drew lovers

blow Drew's horn every chance they got,

ignoring that Drew is a subpar back up

point in getting teammates involved, again,

one assist in ten minutes is horrendous for

a point, Chrales Barkley in a wheelchair can

    do better than that.

    DreamShake99,

Well how many threes does Hakeem hit? How about Cato, maybe they are bad players huh?

All anybody ever used to talk about was his turnovers, turnovers this, turnovers that. Now its a dead issue. Why? Because this is an area he has immensly improved as well as the consistency of his shooting.

"Tonight Anderson finally got more than 20 mins. Didn't shoot all that well, but
put together a great all around game.

Drew got less. Lets all clap now."

No offense tds99, but when are you going to realize you play a double standard with Bryce Drew?

Anderson plays 35 minutes and has a good all around game, despite shooting just 3-11. You call it "great".

We all praise Bryce Drew for scoring 14 points, 10 assists and 6 boards one night and doing it against Jason Kidd mind you, and you tell every one to wake up because he:

    1) shot poorly (though he shot better than Anderson tonight)
    2) had no steals (neither did Anderson), which you call a "sin"
    3) committed 3 turnovers (props to Anderson for only committing one)

Your Drew-bashing seems to know no bounds.

"We have to admit how disappointed we are in Kelvin Cato, the Houston center expected to be a shotblocking, rebounding monster but looking more like Shawn Bradley every day. If that's not reason to start playing better, nothing is"

  8. Clutch...Im am not impressed with
Andersons offensive exploits so far. But
at least he brings other aspects of the
    game to the table.

He brings hustle, runs the floor well, plays an all around good game, and Most importantly he brings D.

He also shoots 47 percent from the floor
    and 36 percent from 3's
    grabs 4 boards
    Dishes 3 assists
    Gets 1 steal a game
And really doenst turn the ball over much.

To me, Id much rather be patient with a guy who is doing all of the little things, playing solid D, but just not scoring in bunches than a guy like Drew. Who really hasn't done anything well, except hit the 3. You don't see me praising Bullard for his little else he brings on the court. Or Williams for his one dimensional style of play either. If your going to be one dimensional, be defensive at least. Its what this team needs most anyways.

Dag, I thought I was actually just using some stats to counter someones point. I really didn't see it as "bashing" I didn't say anything like he was useless, or that he sucked. Nor did I say that I don't believe he is going to become better.

I never said Drew sucks I just said he is nothing compare to Steve Francis. I think Bryce Drew is a very solid Backup, he can come off the bench distribute the ball and make big shots. I never dissed Drew I really dont diss any Rockets, I just said Francis is way better then Drew.

This is not something to argue about anyways they are teammates.

    ------------------
"Lamar Odom, Elton Brand, Wally Szczerbiak and Shawn Marion are guys who are going out to score. That's not my job on this team right now. But if I needed to, if my coach asked me to go out and score 30, I can get it in one quarter"

    -- Steve Francis.

    BryceDrewFan,

You are absolutely wrong about the starting lineup...Go to a game or listen to it on the radio for godsakes...Maybe you should even be a man and apologize for the "moron" remark.

Time to realize statisticians make mistakes.

    Clutch,

Can you check and see if Bryce Drew Fan is really LHutz? His writing seems to resemble it. I think that we might have him back and we don't even know it!

Francis is the future of this team, and an upcoming superstar. The more PT he gets, the more starts he gets, the better he will become. There isn't really a good reason for him not to start right now.

Drew is becoming a capable backup. Live with it, folks. He's shown improvement, some good skills, and obviously he's a shooter. There's nothing wrong with having that coming off the bench. Some don't seem to want to admit it, but the situation is the same...the more he plays, the more improvement he will show. For God's sake people...we had Maloney as the point for the longest time. After his shooting was gone, he couldn't do anything for us. I think we should be ecstatic with the upgrade we've made.

To recap: Francis starts, future of team, probable superstar. Drew good backup, getting even better, no reason to not like him giving Francis a breather. Quit bashing for the sake of bashing, please.
