Sure - if you're in danger of wasting an All-Star's best years struggling for an 8th seed in the East, then you have to at least listen. He's under contract for 3 more years though. This is where i miss Morey's cupboard full of #assets. A disgruntled two way All-Star? Yes please. What about Butler to Minnesota for Lavine, a 1st, and some other stuff. Let Wiggins move over to SG.
I'm not surprised about any of them behaving that way except Wade. How the hell does a vet leader and starter and 3 time champion do something like that? Send his ass home. That's not a small mistake, it totally ends the season.
Exactly. I used to hail Wade as the best leader in the NBA, starting to believe it was a product of his environment.
so I didn't watch it but apparently their last game was a circus? Lost to the Heat, Butler and Wade off the bench, Jimmy only scored 3 points in 33 minutes? And they got booed off the court. As much of a cheapskate Reinsdorf is makes you wonder what else has to happen for him to fire Hoidberg.
This is definitely an implosion, but the Bulls have been on the verge of destruction for years. The front office is known for not being approachable or player friendly. The Jimmy/Wade comments to the press aren't professional, BUT you can't expect a vet like DWade to leave Miami after a decade and silently accept the trainwreck in Chitown. I'm sure he didn't expect Fred's coaching to be this horrendous. Jimmy isn't easy to deal with, but he's not played to his strengths. So, yeah, fingers will be pointed, as they should be. Rondo is a tough customer, but he's correct in many ways. Even with his "crap," he had a good year in Sacramento. The guy knows how to play, but he needs a system where guys cut, come off of screens, etc... The Bulls are built in an offense that has no system whatsoever. Freddy will tell you differently, but the Bulls stand around and watch Jimmy and/or Wade try to create something from nothing. Every point is a struggle because there is no movement, and Fred NEVER clarified every player's role. No matter what team a guy is on, there are roles to be filled. If they aren't explicit roles, players are unable to abide by an organized system. It's almost as if Fred chooses a starting 5 based on how he's feeling at the moment. The Bulls go to each game without a game plan...the lack of preparation is evident. They're LUCKY to be within reach of the playoffs. Upper management failed to acquire players that would mesh in a non-existent offense. Wade and Jimmy make sense to me, in the sense that both can facilitate, demand a double team at times and can still score in bunches. But, neither is like Harden where they can constantly create their own shot. Again...where is any sort of identifiable system on offense/defense/game plan? One man's trash is another man's treasure.
One man's trash is another man's treasure.[/QUOTE] Their offense reminds me of the McHale years. So how do we profit from this codman?
