Haha, it seems that you guys have nothing to worry about. Why care so much about a player's response to teammates' play? Different people have different ways to express emotion. Yes, it is a tough situation for VSpan right now. But he should find a way out by himself, working hard (especially to reduce TOs), communicating with teammates and the most important, talking to JVG about what he wants from him. If VSpan cannot do that, he is not the player we expected him to be. I believe he can fight back to rotation.

Spanoulis is one more injury away from significant minutes during which he will endear himself to the fans with his great and agressiveness. If he gets a few weeks of 15 minutes per game, it will be hard to find a reason to give Lucas any minutes.

I hope so in the sense that we acquire a PG that helps us in a championship run this season. Or if that means V-Span or Luther somehow grab the PG role by the horns, even better.

At the rate Lucas is improving, don't be suprised if he becomes more and more of a key part of this team.

He's faster than any of the other guards, he's got better ballhandling ability, he's got good court vision, and his shot is not a liability (unlike Rafer and V-Span). His only weakness is that he's not super big... but neither V-Span or Head are that much bigger to justify their lesser backup PG skills.

Yao wouldn't have been considered a veteran by JVG when he first took over. As for T-Mac, if you're going by the post-game quotes, JVG basically said he should forget about his "Macness" and go out and have fun. That's not really calling him out. Also, he benched Howard but at no point did he speak badly of him in public, IIRC.

But I don't think we're disagreeing on anything here. Basically I'm saying JVG is treating V-Span like he treats other rookies. I don't see it as a personal vendetta against the guy.
