I'm 5'4. I dont know ANY advantages of being that short. Muchless disadvantages of being tall. I always wished I was like 6'2'. I coulda played in the NBA, NFL or something. Plus, majority of chicks love the tall dark and handsome thing. Most chicks are taller then me or atleast my own height.
There are indeed some disadvantages of being tall, I'm a bit over 6'7 Disadvantages: Don't fit in a bed (especially when on holiday) Injury prone (I've already had surgery on my knee twice) You get stared at when on holiday (but you get used to it) Difficulties finding shoes (it gets better when your taste of shoes change) Tight fit in a airplane (you get used to it) That being said: But I love being tall. Especially when you are tall and still are pretty athletic. Even though when i'm not in a foreign country i do not feel that tall. I regularly meet people who are the same height or even taller.
apparently one disadvantage is that it causes you to start whiny threads about a natural advantage. about the only advantage of being short is that taller people usually can't drive past you in basketball, even when they're more athletic. of course they can post you up, rebound over you, and block your shot. but the dribble drive defense, that's what shortness gets you.
I'm 6'2"-6'3" and I love being tall. In fact, I wish I was taller. It's weird -- I feel uncomfortable around people taller than me.
I'm 16 and 6'1(185cm) at the moment and personally I haven't experienced any of your disadvantages. I think being tall, the advantages really outweigh the disadvantages. As someone earlier said, you're more attractive to women (major advantage at my age ) an advantage in sports before you even trial and also items are much easier to access One thing though, being Chinese and visiting China every year or so, I get stared at on busy roads making me feel extremely awkward Being tall is great, however I don't think I would like to go over 6'3.
the cool part about being tall is tall girls. Tall girls have such a limited selction of dudes that your basically automatically in.

I hit my head on EVERYTHING. I'm clumsy as hell so this may be more due to that than height, but I'm sure height is a factor as well [how would I reach things if it wasn't?].

6'6". I hate finding clothes. I'm either an L-T or an XL-T depending on the place. So that means I have to go to big & tall stores. Do you know what they sell at big & tall stores? Hawaiian shirts. I'm neither gay nor a big fat party animal, so this doesn't work for me. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I JUST WANT A NORMAL SHIRT! Sorry, that bothers me. I wish I were 6'3". It is stupid whining about being tall, but it is a pain at times.
I'm at 5'-7" and I agree with my short brethren that in this society there aren't many advantages to being short. Yeah we can ride in cars and planes more comfortably but extra salary and sex appeal might make up for that. At this point though I'm comfortable with the height I'm at.
The moment I realized that I'd never be able to dunk a basketball, I lost any possibility of sympathy for tall people. You can all burn in hell.
