Yes. It wasn't bad, except that it seemed to intentionally have no point.

... then it would have been called "Walkforward."

But walkabouts do have a point...a progression to manhood. This made it all the more odd because there wasn't any such progression.

Anyway, I know it was a joke and it was funny, I just wanted to add to my post earlier. :)

I would have to say "Birth of a Nation", I don't know how many of you have seen it, but it makes you wonder about the people of the past and some from the present.

Jacob's Ladder, Seven, and Natural Born Killers are all very twisted demoralizing films. But Requim for a Dream will leave everyone feeling depressed afterwards.

I produce very dark (some say depressing) plays for a living. It takes a lot in art or entertainment to bring me down.

I rented Kids and turned it off halfway through. I just couldn't watch any more. I found Gummo, also by Harmony Korine, to be disturbing but hilarious.

Breaking the Waves and Dancing in the Dark (both Lars Von Trier) are as dark as movies come, though they each have hopeful elements if you squint really hard. They are also both brilliant movies with amazing acting.

I just remembered 'Last Exit to Brooklyn'

It's a very well made movie, but I don't think I could watch it again. It's just too disturbing.

Don't forget "Midnight Express." That's enough to keep me out of any prison!

My wife's kiwi grandfather, a veteran of World War II in the North African theater, hates Churchill to this day for Gallipoli.

Disturbing movies: "Naked" with David Thewlis.

"Magnolia" just made me hate PT (Cruiser) Anderson for being a pretentious, plagerizing("Short Cuts" theft) and corny hack.

Just thought of a couple of more: War movies really get me down.
    Das Boot
Apocalypse Now - one of the darkest movies made
    The Deer Hunter
    Platoon

    This ones just disturbing:
    Taxi Driver

What was the point in making this movie? So boring and pathetic, and the ending was just made you want to throw crap at the screen!

    Jeff said it....SEVEN!!!

holy crap...that movie physically affected me...i was shaking...my girlfriend (now my wife) and i saw it and went to her apartment, held each other on the couch and watched cartoons to ease the numbness we had after that movie!!

Great movie, though!!! Unreal how good that was...but just really dark and depressing.

I was thinking the same thing. Another movie is "Dude wheres my car." It wasnt exactly dis-spiriting but it was the dumbest movie I ever saw.

I just watched Albino Alligator earlier on TV. I think it definitely qualifies as a dispiriting movie.

'Momento' was extremly disturbing. When "HE" slaps her and she goes to the car and then comes back and says
"Dodd beat the **** out of me Lenny" or the whole Sammy Jankus thing. Trippy Shiyat

'Mullholland Drive' is another one that left me completly confused, In fact, I still don't know what the hell this was about.

'Arlington Road', which I bought last nite is/was completely rotten. What was the point of this piece of crap. GARBAGE

I also got 'Jacob's Ladder' which I plan to watch later tonite, I've either never seen it, seen only parts or it's been so long I don't remember but it seems to have dark tones to it.

I'd seen 'Das Boot' as a kid and never really understood the magnitude but I recently bought the Special Edition DvD and the ending just leaves you breathless, great Flick though.

'American Beauty' left me feeling pretty sh!tty.

    'Kids' was repulsive

'Fight Club' was beautiful in a disturbing way.

'Office Space' disturbs me because it's basically making fun of my life. No I'm not Milton.... not yet anyway ;)
