Dirty Plays in Mavs game (inc. Kidd tries to hurt David Andersen)

    Thomas was acting like he was breaking things up between Andersen and Kidd, but if you watch the replay, he takes a cheap shot with his elbow into Andersen's chest, right in front of the refs.

    It'll be a flagrant tomorrow... get it right.. why the hell would they upgrade it to a technical? :rolleyes:

    Yeah my bad that's what I meant. I was just reading through it again and lamented the fact that I can't edit posts :p

    Realy though the Dampier thing was absolutely nothing. Aaron was hanging off him and Dampier just shoved to seperate them. That type of shove happens all the time. Size doesn't matter. They're both men. Aaron doesn't need to be defended like he's a little girl on a court of men. Trust me, he doesn't want that type of sympathy and treatment for his size.

    The flagrant on Brooks was also just stupid. It was a tough foul, that's all.

    also the Terry fouling Lowry after the steal in the 4th qtr. He just shoved Lowry and stood over him.

    Overall, these Mavs are just as dirty as they've always been.

    Also, Barea annoys the hell out of me. He never gets called for reaching in.

    It should have been flagrant on Kidd and a technical on Thomas. How Andersen got a technical I have no idea.

    I agree, just looked like a tough foul to me. Mavs fans still want that flagrant called though, even though Brooks was hanging off Dampier like a mosquito.

    Yeah sorry, I overreacted. I agree Dampier's play was nothing really... but Erica's play didn't make a huge difference whether he was in or not. He probably wouldn't have made both FT's. And yeah that flagrant was an awful call... I mean reverting back to the Kidd foul... that Brooks foul wasn't even close to what Kidd did.... Pathetic flagrant call, those are regular fouls in the playoffs.

    From the film one could clearly see that Kid should have been thrown out of the game &/or suspended a game for such a dirty play. i hope the NBA acts upon it!! :p

    Bill Ingram just tweeted that the Mavs and Cuban are going to file a "complaint" over calls from the game.

    Mavs to protest the game

    Because of "multiple mis-applications of the rules,'' according to owner Mark Cuban, the Mavericks are planning to start the process of protesting Friday night's 116-108 overtime loss to the Houston Rockets.

    The Mavericks are upset with three specific plays: a clear-path foul called on Jason Terry, the out of bounds play with 0.4 seconds left that appeared to have occurred with one full second to play in regulation, and the flagrant-1 foul on Aaron Brooks in overtime.

    Flagrant-1 fouls are not supposed to be reviewable, but a review took place with the referees around a TV.

    kidd did make a dirty foul against andersen,hoping the league could suspend this guy for at least one game!


    anyway,David andersen got a great play tonight!I love his aggressiveness in paint area as well as his punk words against old kidd.

    I think the foul on Dampier was a little more than nothing. The thing that bothered me about the play was after Dampier threw the elbow his right hand was clenched and was in the begining parts of a swing towards Brooks. So i definitely think that was worth a foul.

    didnt expect kidd will do something like that,he should have been given a flagrant foul,instead of brooks,i still dun get it why brooks get a flagrant foul,man,dunno what the refs were thinking at that time,at least we still get the win though
