That would be Jalen Rose...dirty player

How could anyone forget Danny Ainge chunking the basketball at Elie's face from about 5 feet in the last moments of game 3 of the 1994 playoffs?

I hate undercutting more than any dirty play. It's the sneakiest way to injure a guy without looking violent.

Karl was a dirty player, but the 2 that have been mentioned aren't really that dirty. The one on Boki, somewhat...but there are WAY dirtier plays in NBA *history*.. and the bear hug, come on.. it was horrible. But not dirty.

    Rodman's kick to the cameraman?

Ralph punching Schiechting (sp) --size difference making it dirty

Shoot, how about Artest/Stephen Jackson/Jermaine O'Neal (with the drop-down blow) together?

    Pippen's forearm to Rodman's face

If we are going to clarify and say on court, DURING game..

Bowen's kick was an annoying one.

Certainly the nut grab / nut kicks/ etc. that have happened in the last few years (Brent Barry, Reggie Evans ,etc.)

Sampson lost his cool but in defense of him Sichting had been kneeing him in the butt and legs. This was a tactic that has been used by smaller players before and was something that really bothered Sampson has Bill Hanzlik of the Nuggets did that too him a lot and he got in a fight with Hanzlik over that tactic.

Its pretty similar to the technique used by smaller players against Yao to get him out of position or to do the pull chair trick on Yao when he pushes back.

Don't forget, Ainge nearly bit Tree Rollins' finger off too. But I don't think he was dirty, just very fiesty.

Karl spells dirty. And that's all I wanna say.

I think that was the other way around that Tree Rollins bit Danny Ainge although I think Ainge started it.

The Malone play wasn't a "bear hug". It wasn't dirty, it was just an aggressive pick. Could have been called, I suppose, but I think we are overly sensitive when it comes to that play. It wasn't actually dirty, IMO.

Sounds like you did not see the play. Yeah, it was an aggressive pick, in that Malone picked Drexler up off the ground. Drexler's arms were flayly trying to get lose.

Dude bear-hugged him. That is why everyone calls it a bear hug. If there is any last second call in the history of the NBA that must be called, that has to rank in the top 5.

It was game 3 were the Rockets were blowing them out at the end 118 - 102. Game 4 was a Sunday game (National TV) and a lot closer.

Heh, I just wrote a blog post about that titled "Bruce Bowen: Dirtiest player since John Stockton?"

The problem is, once I was done watching all the videos and writing the post, I actually felt bad for naming John Stockton in the same league as Bruce Bowen. John Stockton was a cheat, but Bruce Bowen is a bad person, and in my opinion shouldn't be allowed to play in the NBA. He is by far the dirtiest player that I have seen, mainly because of the punk move he uses where he sticks his foot under jump shooters.

If anyone wants to see the videos, I have several in my post - Bruce Bowen's Dirty - Video Proof

    Reggie Evans wasn't so bad.

    What about Ben Gordon?
