    1. Rashard Lewis, Washington Wizards (overpaid by $21,167,231)

This is, by far the most overhyped, most underachieved NBA player ever. I can't believe we almost had him, he would of been the worst Rockets free-agent ever. For 7 years, his points per game has declined every year. China, I have a player for you who needs a major buzz.

How much money does Kobe bring to the Lakers in terms of ticket sales and merchandise? Not to mention TV deals etc. Not overpaid. Neither is Dirk.

    That's irrelevant in a salary-capped NBA.

Lakers are still over the cap if Kobe takes a paycut and earns as much as KG and DUncan ($21 mil). So your post is irrelevant

the ranking shows who is overpaid relative to wins. so yes, if you care about winning, then kobe is overpaid (assuming this calculation is remotely accurate). it doesn't and shouldn't account for how much money he brings in through ticket sales, jersey sales, etc., if your only concern is winning.

Everything Kobe & Dirk has done for their teams over the years, they're not overpaid, by principal alone.. This is a form of loyalty. This is the same reason I think the Colts should've paid Manning...

But it's a business, and sometimes decisions are made to make/save money. If you think any teams only concern is winning, you dont pay attention to sports.

It is not about what they have done but what they are doing this past or this season.
Better question is how long can you afford dragging those aging stars along, while hoping to pair them up with other superstars.

When is the point of rebuilding when the last breath of KG,Duncan,KB are allowing them to stay being within the Top 5 or Top 8 teams but not enough to be among the Top 2 who are battling for another championship?

Rashard Lewis. Met him at this breakfast place called Egg and I off I-10 Memorial City area and he seemed pretty cool. No pic but I asked him what are his prodictions for the finals (this was still in the first round) and he picked SA Town and Miami of course. He was driving a Lincoln Mark LT on some like 26' or 28'. He didnt have the attitude of the most overpaid in Association but he didnt pay for my breakfast either :-(

    True story though.

Rashard Lewis just got a crazy contract because Orlando was willing to overpay. It's not his fault he got offered a bigger contract than Dwight Howard did.

If Wins Produced was a meaningful stat, I might be inclined to care about this list.

Any player who brought your city a championship should not be on that list.

List loses credibility with the SINGLE REASON your city has a championship. He carried that team past the big 3. It was Lebron, Wade, Bosh vs Dirk
