I agree and I hope DirecTV is the first to cave. I can't believe they don't carry the longhorn network yet. Uverse got it a few weeks ago.

    THIS! ^^^^

I get the NFL sunday ticket and the best whole home HD DVR service around - and I don't have to put up with Comcast's crappy service (they are worst). I have Comcast internet, so I am hoping I can just stream the games - anyone know if that works?

Not worth the price they want for LHN. Do you realize they only show 2 games. And have you seen the garbage they show on there?

I do know they show some garbage, but I did not realize they only showed 2 games! Thanks for that. My fiancee is a UT alum so she really wanted it. I just watched the one game they have showed now on front row

I'm in an odd situation, I work for Comcast but live in an unserviceable area (west of Magnolia) so I have to SETTLE for DirecTV. I kinda get the ear in on the negotiations, Comcast straight up told the folks behind LHN - you want WHAT for only 2 games!! We also got a demo on what they show on that station, not worth the sports pack people would have to subscribe to.

Do you have any insight into the negotiations with Directv?

I saw that Directv took away the FSHouston channel, I'm assuming CSNHouston will just take it's spot

UVerse is expensive (if you can even get it in your area). A dish can be put up anywhere. Even a moving RV.

Tried it, didnt like it, it uses the same bandwidth as your internet, so you don't get close to the estimated advertised internet speeds unless you have the internet as a stand alone. Also their HD looks like youtube compressed/HD compared to other providers. The main issue I had that forced me to switch is if i downloaded a big file it made my TV lag, happened mostly on live games, as soon as I unplugged my internet modem, back to normal on the tv. Had same issue at 3 different addresses with new equipment. Been about a 1 year and a half so don't know if their tech got better. -end 2 cents lol.

Best thing you can do is EMAIL EMAIL EMAIL! Complain and make as much noise as you can for a deal to be made before the beginning of the season.

Hey we are almost neighbors (I live in Magnolia).

I have no choice: DirecTV or Dish Network - no Comcast or AT&T out here.

I called DirecTV yesterday and they acted like they couldn't do anything over the phone and that the only course of action was to send an email through their system.

Normally their customer service is outstanding but this was frustrating. Don't know what I'm going to do if they don't pick it up. I don't want to go to Comcast because I've heard it's absolutely terrible and they don't have NFL Sunday Ticket.

Disagree big time. DirecTV always has the sports channels. The only ones are CSN Philly and now CSN Houston, I'm guessing the same as CSN Philly, Comcast wants too much for it. I have never had an issue with directv, never goes out, when I upgrade they are on time, I dont even have a choice for Comcast, live in area with Time Warner, and hate them, terrible service.

I would reccomend going at CSN Houston, and not provider. Even though they want to make money, the providers also, believe it or not, want to make it as affordable as possible for customers.
