The self-entitlement isn't just about salary... This is multi-faceted, it ultimately comes down to whether the league is even exciting or not. The whole TX state is sitting very uninspired right now. I honestly don't give a damn what happens this season unless injuries or breakout post-season games from unexpected stars change situations. This is extremely boring. NBA used to make at least 200+ dollars from me every season, right now they've made maybe 70 bucks. Next year will be even worse.
They’ve got no one to blame but themselves. I think they are probably upset because once Wood went down the team didn’t do everything they could in order to win. Olidipo doesn’t give a damn about the Rockets rebuild or they’re pursuit for a top pick. Believe it or not, Stone and Silas do. There’s no way they are letting up on the gas for this Tank and Dipo knows it. Tucker knows it and John Wall knows it. Wall just really has very little leverage so he’s more likely to play nice.
I like what you're saying, but it leaves the smaller venues and smaller city's out there, no chance at greatness. We're in between in size and influence as a city but we still get run over by media monstrosities by this nonsense. Harden was **** by all national media accounts until he went East. That's not cool. Now he's a godsend. He was a godsend to us. Why don't we matter to the NBA? Why don't we matter to the media? Why does what big media thinks have to trickle down to the refs during the playoffs? I like the NFL's approach to disparity before cash-cow Tom Brady showed up. Each year was a new season for every team out there. That's a good approach for cultivating a fan base that cares each and every year across all areas of our country. It used to be that no one knew who will be good because fairness is equal for all markets and all teams. Now in the NBA with players leaving for places where they have a chance to win it all is crap. Why isn't Minnesota a place where three mega stars agree to play? That part is bullshit. Miami didn't deserve championships, they bought them. Brooklyn is trying to do that crap now. LA Lakers have been in that business for decades. It's getting old and it feels manipulated rather than earned by cities and franchises.
Oladipo is one of the most delusional players I’ve ever seen. In his mind he’s on the same level as guys like Beal - I see him like a mini Westbrook Without playmaking skills. Volume chucker. i can’t wait till we get rid of him, I’ve not disliked a player like him in a long time
I don’t know why people are reacting like this is a report. He’s a Celtics fan and was watching the game and this is how he viewed Oladipo’s operformance. it was an odd take as it was clearly his best performance in quite some time. At the time he tweeted he had 17, 3 and 3 at half-time in 50% FG and 50% 3P. When I told him that he replied that Oladipo was just running into 3 or 4 guys wildly on drives - which is probably why he had 8 free throws by the end of the third. Hate on Oladipo all you want, he’s been awful. But he was our best player last night most of the game and he was grabbing the ball and attacking early and on drives. I am completely at a loss as to how anybody could criticise him. He started throwing bricks late in the third and guys started blowing by him, I thought he was pretty clearly tiring, he was on course for 40 minutes by then. Really just a bizarre reaction. If Vic had played like he did that first half every game so far we’d all be saying how much teams would have to offer just to get him! I really hope he can have 5 or 6 more good games with Wood and Wall and convince another team a quality player is still in there
All we need to care about is Dipo staying healthy and auditioning for contenders... we need another one of those first round picks for this dude!!
Whats up with all the scrubs demanding things and acting diva. Bro you should be happy you in the league because watching you play you don't understand simple concepts of basketball and that athletics that got you by will soon be over
You're playing basketball for a living. Every morning you should get up and get on your knees and thank God that you're playing basketball for a living. Someone is actually paying you, in some cases millions and millions, in other cases hundreds of thousands at the minimum to play basketball. This is a high energy game that requires total commitment but it's a joy to play. It's fun. — MilkHair Speak to the divas MilkHair, speak to ‘em!
Can't wait to get rid of these fake superstars, dude had one decent game and now thinks he's better than the team. Foh
He definitely plays at times like he’s checked out. It makes no sense to me because he should be trying to show teams he’s back so they’ll trade for him if he wants out unless he wants to lower his asking price to screw us over I seriously just want to deal him for whatever we can get ASAP to get him out of the rotation and have one less bit of drama to deal with
I need Dipo to get 25 points or more per game and the mission of every Rocket should be to accommodate and make him look better than he is. Let him be a ball hog stat stuffer like the Thunder did with Westbrook. Build up his trade value and hopefully we can have other players go with him riding his coattails. The frustration, much like with Tucker and Cousins.......it's a sellers market. Not often do you see vendors selling to vendors and getting much back. If a deal doesn't get you in the ball park of Nets/Utah/Lakers/Bucks/76ers/Suns/Clippers, why do it? Most of the teams at the top are capped out near $150M team payroll and can or will only do minor deals. The real buyers will be those semi close: Blazers/Denver/Boston/Heat/Knicks/Hawks. 6 teams....maybe add Suns and Clippers to the list that every other seller is hoping to sell to. The others just don't want to spend big on rentals......it makes no sense to do otherwise.
