I agree with what you said but the keywords there are "as a knick". Thats why I said it's not dumb logic to say that asik would be worth the money on a good team....

This makes no sense. If he is restricted you have to over pay him or the bulls would have matched.

Tyson is overpaid, period. Not comparing him to anybody, just him.

He compared Asik to Yao in the sense that he is a huge defensive presence. I would agree with Morey on that point, teams did not successfully drive to the basket against the Bulls when Asik was on the floor.

Offensively he will NEVER EVER be close to Yao.

I agree centers are slightly more valuable, but this thing about PGs being easy to find. I completely disagree with that notion, point guards aren't as easy to find as SG, SF, and PF. There's not actually that many point guards out there who can run an NBA offense. Serviceable, yes. But name how many point guards out there you can rely on to be a good distributor or a consistently productive player.

SG's are easy to find? I can name 10 very good points right now, can you name 10 very good sg's?

he shined in a number of games. in some, he's useless. wait for the Russia game, he'll be the most important player on the team defensively.
but obviously it's a small sample size.

i don't think he's overpaid (would you rather have Hibbert at 14.5 or McGee at 10-11 mil or whatever he got?), but he's not underpaid either, obviously.
a great piece for Knicks who'd fit very well next to either Melo or Amar'e.

If you truly believe RFAs get as much or more money than UFAs, then we'll just have to agree to disagree.

He is overpaid bc he is a commodity with low supply, espesh of dominant bigs, so
that's the NBA world we live in, he's not overpaid by avg. 7 footers margins...Bleacherreport fails to see these things, they just had to bash one of Hou. Signees bc they couldn't on Lin, bc they'll prob praise him all yr long
