Rockets is better than Clippers and Pistons.
SuperSonics will do some damage to protect their last year's home.

Everyone is overrating the Bulls this year. Just cause they added Ben Wallace they are all of a sudden contenders. Ben wallace is good at defense but he must be the most overrated player in the league. Yes he will bring them more denfense but they still have absolutly NO inside scoring ability. He isnt even an improvement from Tyson Chandler on the offensive end

Ben has got a HUGE contract, which I think its not worth it at all. He should only get abit more than what chandler get

All things considered, we should be about 7, the Bulls should be ranked at the 8th spot. If every "professional" journalist/sports writer was as sure that Yao and T-mac are gonna be as health as we are... I think the Rockets, on average, would be ranked 4th or 5th. We have the best team we've had in years, and I'll agree that our bench is a strength this year. At the very least, it is no longer a weakness. The only thing we are really missing is a big PF/C to back up our 4/5 spot. Mutombo is getting older, but I assume we'll just put Howard at the Center spot for 8-10 mins. a game and play small. *shrug*

I dont like the writer calling out our depth - but they have a point, at least in terms of our bench being unproven.

there's talent there, but alot of its unproven at League level.

i'm pretty happy with that brief assessment. If we're gonna be as good as we keep talking about, we have to show it on the court before these writers give our team any credit.

We are not better than any of them, considering last season's result. Result is all what matters, injury or not.

I don't care whether the Rox ranks higher or lower, what I most concern is the Rox don't have enougn playoff experienced, that would affect them playoff run a lot.

we deserve to be ranked where we are right now because we haven't proven anything with this lineup...not last year and the year before we had a different cast....

all the teams ahead of us in the rankings have gone deep in the playoffs or made some impact in the playoffs last year....including the bulls!
The majority of their team is back and thats no reason why these teams should not be at the top of the rankings and ahead of the rockets...

until we start out well and play well together, we deserve to be where we are as a potential stud in the west.

Folks, this is DIME magazine. They have no credibility and are trying to be a "STREET" magazine ala Slam but it's made by white folks. This is the same magazine that listed D-Wade as the "Best Player in the World".

You make it sound as if D-wade being the best player in the world is a bad thing. If they said Eric Dampier is the best player in the world than I would have a prolbem but Wade? He won his championship...definitely deserves his hype.

I have no problem with the Rockets being ranked at the number 8 spot. I just question his credibility due to his remarks. As mentioned by other posters, rockets are deeper this year than they have been in years. And no way the Kings are title contenders.
