Why would they want to bring in a dude like DB Why not go after a guy like Bruce Brown? Better shooter. Better in every metric including D. Has experience playing 1-3. Is a playmaker who gets others involved. Plays much bigger than his size. He's a team first guy AND has championship experience. Would take him over DB anyday.

I actually like Dillon Brooks, he can be Dennis Rodman and/or Draymond Green, a pest defensively. If DB signs with the Rockets, this had Udoka fingerprints over it. He see DB as Marcus Smart.

I don’t really know his game. What I don’t like about him when looking at his stats (besides the scoring efficiency and number of shots): 3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, about 1 combined steal/block in over 30 minutes. If he is supposed to be that scrappy player , why are hi rebounds so low? And if he is that great defender, why doesn’t it show up in the stats?
Maybe he is just the kind of player whose impact doesn’t show up in the stats sheet, but that doesn’t really make me optimistic about adding him.

And I wonder whose minutes will get cut. Between KPJ, Tate, KMJ, Cam and Tari all of them will be competing for minutes with him.

He feels closer to Lance Stephenson than those 2. But I agree has to be Udoka pushing it. Hopefully he cam make him less of a ****ing idiot.

Dillon is the best fit for this soft young group

That's the entire issue with him though is that he has so far been unwilling to do that and it's been in the league several years at this point.

His only issue is he doesn't see himself as those great players you mentioned. If Ime can get him to realize that he should win COY because the Rox make the playoffs after several year hiatus.

This is the guy we’re giving a 2-3-year deal to? $15M? Really?

“Brooks, sources say, turned down an extension offer earlier this season and has said publicly he is looking for a bigger role than the 3-and-D one he has been playing in Memphis. An early look around at his market does indicate there will be some interest in his services around the league.”

    There’s Freddy! There’s Jabari! There’s Dillon! There’s Jalen!

Epitome of a dumb bball IQ player. He has bottom barrel efficiency in a 3 & D role and couldn't even handle that well. What do you think is going to happen when you want to do more. Brooks really is as stupid as he portrayed himself to be.

When your efficiency is even worse than westbrick's and you demand to do more. ladies and gentleman that's Dillon Brooks for you

    I want 3 and D, not "step-back fadeaway ISO Kobe long 2" and D.

This would be as awful as signing Derek Fisher.

Agreed, I would strongly prefer he become some other team's problem

Bruce Brown would be a much, much better pickup than Brooks for potentially not that much more money. Brown is actually a decently efficient scorer and is a comparable defender.

Judge: "....but this is the last time. OK. Sitting in the court we have an NBA GM. We also have a prison warden. You choose. Basketball, or federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison."
    Dillon: "Guess I'll take basketball."
Judge: "God help your team." (gavel: clack clack!) "Bailiff, escort the defendant out. Next case."

I would be fine with Dillon Brooks even with his big mouth if he didn't want some prominent offensive role. He is an inefficient player and doesn't need more touches. My hope is that someone else signs him.
