I received this email from my daughter (at college) who is having a problems with photos disappearing from her memory card. Any ideas?
i've read that humidity can do that to a memory card. But unless your daughter studies at UCA in central america, then i don't think that's the problem. but maybe it is. did she try a different memory card?
tell her to take some pics then lock them in the settings. If they still get deleted it may just be a bad card. Tell her to try a Kingston memory card.
We need pictures of your... I kid! I kid! ( I have daughters, too ) Some memory cards aren't cheap. Do you mind telling us what the model of the camera is? We can then point you in the direction of the manual or read it along with you to troubleshoot. Have her look through all the settings and all the pages, to see if there is one she's missing. I don't think the makers would be incompetent enough to have a "delete everyday" setting. I'm with the "try a different memory card" camp. Also, brand name cards like Fuji or Kodak are are higher quality.
