If you have the extra bucks, get the Canon SD500. It's got a better flash than the SD300 or 400, and I've just loved mine. Terrific pictures, considering it's not an SLR. High resolution (7.1 megapixels) means you can really blow up your shots. Can take time exposures. Really has more features than I can come up with at the moment. Took some nice night shots in New York, where I bought it. (paid under list) A little different feel (slightly different shape and weighs just a tad more) than the SD300 or 400. Feels better in your hand, imo.
