The rookies: Argentine McHale (Scola) >>> Greek McGrady (Spanoulis) Undersize dunker PF (Landry) >>> Underspeed shooter PF (Novak) Speedy Midget (Brooks) >>> Speedy Midget (Lucas)
The point I was trying to make was that last year, Utah was in control of the HCA and lost it 3-6 in their last 9 meaningful games. This year, Houston controls HCA and are 6-3 in their last 9 meaningful games so they are more or less earning it. Last year, it was given them by a Utah tank job. This year, if Houston wins it, it will be because they earned it. This had nothing to do with Van Gundy or anything. It had to do with how the team controlling HCA in the 4-5 matchup finished the season. (If Utah wins it, they too will have earned it this year)
HCA is more important this year, looking at the way UTAH is playing at home. Despite Tmac's depth perception, home court is a huge up for us.
Landry is such a huge upgrade over juwan howard and I dont even have to mention the scrubs like jl3 or spanoulis who didn't even contribute the entire series last year. This year I think as long as hayes landry scolas can do a good job of checking boozer milsap and ****** okur, then our front line wont lose out too much. We just have to do something about deron williams because he is too big for guards like alston, head, jackson, or brooks to guard. Maybe put battier on him and stop his penetration.
Deron Williams owned Rafer last play-offs so hard he averaged 16.3 ppg and 8.4 APG. It wasn't Deron Williams even though going in everyone thought that would be where Utah had a chance to win the series.
when you think about it there arent any real differences, especially when you consider the results will be the same.... we are going to lose a 7 game series against utah
