Shut up. Did a Battier flop or Biggio HBP keep a team out of the playoffs? It's possible, but there is no way to really know. This one act by Henry is literally responsible for keeping Ireland out of the World Cup. May not mean much to you, but I guarantee it meant a lot to the millions of Irish who were begging to be in their first World Cup in some time.
Guys Henry is not walking through that door for a number of reasons that u guys already mentioned. now the whole cheating argument.. yes handball is against the rules but have you ever seen a basketball game without a foul? how about a football game? another thing comparing steroid users and Henry is honestly ridiculous. I understand the significance of it because it kept Ireland from the world cup but there have been worst like la " la mano de dios" from maradona. Since his glorious days as a gunner to now as a cule, Henry has been a true gentleman and a role model for many. my .02
Ok, so it's ok to cheat when its regular season? Nice logic. And by "some time" do you mean 2002? Ireland has missed the last WC. They went to the previous one before that.
That's not what I said and you know it. The singular impact that his hand ball had was much greater than a flop in a basketball game that might have lead to 2 points out of 200 scored in a game or a baserunner in a 9 inning game. Missing any World Cup for many countries is considered "some time".
well he is still a good player but nowhere close to what he once was.. im sure he will command lots of money so no i wouldnt sign him.
So Esp'n reports this on the 17th, at 12:42... I was all... WTF? I saw this on GOAL.com a while back...! It's not "news"... But then I go to GOAL.com and there's this story: A whole hour BEFORE! I LOL'd at esp'n.
