yeah..she should be happy. i don't know how many times it has to be said that no one gives a rat's ass whether or not the kid got the ball or not. it's not about that at all. it's about being a jackass and then not having enough concern for other people to even say you're sorry after the fact.
Really??? Do you have a link? For you guys who hate that this story has blown up the guy will probably used to this to get interviewed on show now.
Yeah, I saw it on ESPN. Now if he would've given the ball up at the game none of these talk shows and what not would have ever happened and he probably would've received a nice ovation from the crowd as well.
Before he went to the came, nobody knew who this putz was, he leaves the game, goes home and his face is all over tv, his fault.
It's true...this guy really is an idiot. It took him this long to come up with a gameplan for making amends. I bet his wife forced him to do this. I don't forgive him. I would have forgiven him if the gesture was made the first 24-48 hours but not now. Hehe. Rot in hell, kid thumping ball stealing late amends maker weenie! Bud salutes you!
NOW he gives the ball up? Too little, too late there, buddy. Before, at least he had the stupid ball. Now? He's got nothing. Yeah, I'm sure the kid would LOVE to have that foul ball. I'm betting he'll find a nice, cozy spot for it next to his newly acquired Nolan Ryan signed ball and authentic bats.
I'm starting to think the Mom is a greedy ho. I'm not sure how much Dad is involved but he may be just as guilty. She could have easily turned down all the interviews and not made a big deal out of it. But, she is capitalizing on everything she can. The person it happened to(the kid) doesn't even know what's going on. He's just along for the ride. The problem I have with it is what about those kids who get hit by a line drive foul ball and really do get hurt. They don't even get this much attention. I haven't watched any of the interviews but I'm oh so sure they are so very interesting to re-tread over and over....something like: "he fell over the chair and roll into the back of my kid. i called him a big poopyhead and hit him with my program". Whoopy-freaking-doo Mom...let's give her a movie deal and they can make a TV movie about it. A respectable Mom would have stopped it once she got the stuff at the game. She's had her fifteen minutes. Now, may she please drop off the face of the Earth back into oblivion. Thanks, Mom. I wouldn't be surprised if Mom isn't keeping some of that memorabilia herself and it winds up on E-bay in a few years. The kid doesn't seem to be old enough to know what he has and doesn't have. Mom could easily just take whatever and leave the kid with a turd or something. LOL.
with all the atteintion the kid is getting, he is going to win the Arthur Ashe award at the ESPY's this year.
Okay, my contribution to this thread would have been more yesterday, but lightning struck twice right by my house last night! First it was a tree three feet from my window and then it was a tree directly across the street. Well, the power surge killed my modem and I ended up spending $60 on a new modem (could've gotten it replaced, but that would've taken a week). Anyway, I just finished going through this all, especailly that article, and my thoughts: WHAT THE ****?!?!?!? And then this: O'Brien said she swatted the man with a cardboard fan and called him a jerk, among other names. "I said, 'You trampled a 4-year-old boy to get this ball,' and he said, 'Oh, well,'" she told ABC's "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, adding that the man seemed proud he got the ball. Yeah, go overdramatize it you Munchausen by Proxy b****!!! Yeah, that kid was surely trampled. Absolutely sickening, everything. Idiot fans, idiot broadcasters, and maybe idiot MLB. This IS NOT about baseball and why would the MLB want to deal with this?? OBVIOUSLY it's some kind of publicity stunt and shame on the Rangers for trying to be associated with this absolute nonsense. And I'm 99% certain this kid will throw out the first pitch of a game, probably this weekend. If that happens, **** the Rangers, their fans (no offense), the MLB, and anyone who wants to make a story about nothing (ESPN, GMA, etc.). If this happens, I will NEVER go to a Rangers game (in Arlington). (I couldn't think of a better threat)
