I still think something may happen. In the past you NEVER heard anything in the rumor mill about us regarding trades - except for the 2 fiascos with the Raptors, but that was supposedly leaked from their end. This year there have been multiple reports from reputable sources (Mc Hale and stuff from 610am) that the Rocks have been at least involved in talks. I think it may come down to either us taking a crappy contract or someone else taking a crappy one of ours.

At this point I think that most teams are simply feeling out what is available. When it comes down to nut cuttin time, I think that some of these teams may realize that sometimes you have to take a step backwards to take 2 steps forward. When this realization sets in we may see some player moves, and the Rocks could certainly be involved. I think that we may also benefit from it.

Wanted the team kept together so they could gel, but that didn't happen. I like the additions of AG and Piat though. Just wished we could have kept Posey too. I was watching Shaq-Yao (Part 1) again, and from what I saw, we'll miss Posey more than some people on this board think we will.

Nice Haven - this is one of the best observations I've ever seen on this BBS.

Now if only he'd gone with Hakeem as a tutor instead of Patrick Ewing... that's a bit of New York / player loyalty showing itself, right?

And I can only hope the Mason rumors aren't true...

I definitely expected SOMETHING a little more. But in truth, all bets were off when they canned Rudy.

Still, I'm not disappointed. I think the coaching change will be very beneficial to the team, and I love the relatively quiet additions of Piatowski and A. Griffin.

Not to diss Ruty, but coaching change is the biggest and most satisfying to me this off season. We already has a #2 center and top 5 PG, two all star starters. What else do you need more? Francis is already a max player, Yao will be soon. There is no way to afford more than 2 max players for a team. Besides Yao and Francis, everybody else is replaciable. It was a smart move for Rockets not to match Posey's high contract, but instead signed much cheaper EP and AG, a very good shooter and very good defender.

The real adjustment will come mid-season.
