I've been around since 97-98. Anyone that didn't suffer here through the lockout season isn't a true fan in my book. :)

I think I came here before Yao was drafted.

Early 2002 I think. I wish I had found this place sooner though, If I had known about it, I'd probably have a couple thousand posts by now.

    OOPS WRONG AGAIN

I guess I did come after Yao. I found out about this site from another forum though. Another rockets fan there was a lurker here and let me know about it.

I joined mostly to argue over the arena issue. Then I basically ignored the bbs until about 4-5 months ago. Been a Rockets fan since the late 70s, but I must admit that I don't find today's NBA all that compelling.

Before. WAY, WAY, WAY before. Just look at my numbers, beeyotch. And that doesn't even include my member number, sign-up date, or total posts back when it was ClutchCity.COM back in 1997 or so.

I was part of the less publicized Barkley rush.

I visited the site during the Steve Francis rush and would read the board. I couldn't register until I got to college in the fall of 2001 because until I got my school email account, I only had hotmail and yahoo.

I arrived during the Yao rush. I bought my first computer a couple of months before and the first message board I became a member of was the Astros.com forum. I kept trying to find a Rockets board by clicking on the chat link on Rockets.com. It never did load up so I didn't think they had one. I don't remember how I ended up finding Clutchcity but when I did I joined and started spending most of my message board time here.

I became a Rockets fan back in 86. I was visiting my Aunt & Uncle and they were watching the Rockets/Celtics game. All I really remember was everyone screaming at the TV. Been hooked ever since. The Rockets were the only team my whole family rooted for. My mom was fan of all 3 Houston teams and so was I, but my bother was a Steelers fan, my Uncle was a Cowboy fan and my Aunt was a Mets fan.

I came to the Rockets as a Charles Barkley-only fan. I don't know if I would have become a fan if the Rockets hadn't been playing on WB 39 that one year (99-00?). This website helped a lot - a friend showed it to me in 1999.

I might have had 120 posts on my old moniker Sniper before "the bet", but I decided I liked the new one better.

Been here since the early days... think I first found the site in early 1998. Registered and posted a few times and even wrote a few articles for the main page back in 99-00. They weren't very good, though... I can't believe I registered in High School and am now years into college. I remember when some of these guys were talking about their senior years and now have long term girlfriends, proper jobs, etc. Weird to see people grow up on a BBS... :)

Yao brought me here. I knew of CC but didn't lurk much at all. I was already aware of the tall Chinese prospect Yao but thought there was no way the Rockets would get a high enough pick. Then when I watched Stevie win the lottery I thought we definately needed to pick Yao. Signed up shortly after when Clutch blocked the unregistered lurkers. Some might say I'm still a lurker with the low number of posts.

After. I'm a hardcore YOF through and through. Didn't really get into this site until after the rockets ended up with the number one pick. I thought if I complained enough and posted a lot in the GARM Yao would be traded to a better team for Yao, but oh well. :(

Btw, does anyone have pics of Yao's gf eating ice cream?
