Since in that picture Yao is dominating, I guess we can blame last nights loss on Farkin Pauly. :)

At least you have the guts to admit you're a fair-weather fan. A lot of people will claim they are die-hard but if yao turns into a bust and other calmaity befalls the Rockets, many of the so-called die-hard fans will turn off the Rockets games and start talking about the Texans.

The 11 minutes Yao got last nite was not in one clump. He really played a few minutes here and there. No heavy minutes are needed, give him a good stretch to play. Even if he gets fouls, let him play.....sitting on the bench will not prepare him for the NBA. Preseason is over and practices will be short. However, this is only the first game, and who's to say Rudy won't increase his minutes in future games. We are all overreacting.

I am on the bandwagon to stay. Rockets games were what me and my dad use to do when I was growing up. I still have a set of White Rockets wrestbands from like 1982. I also have a Lewis Lloyd jersey. I didn't become a fan during the Clutch City years. I was around way before that.
One game is not going to stop me from being a fan. Last night I saw Stevie put on a Jordan-like performance. I saw Mobley playing forward, I saw a rookie who has been in the US for 10 days look totally lost and overcome with the situation he was in. I also so 3 players in street clothes.

I felt like the Rockets would get into the playoffs as a 7 or 8 seed. I didn't think that it would be a championship season. It is going to take some time for everything to click and really next season is the season to see it all come together, IMO. With that said, the other night was a stinker of a game. But I have seen many stinkers, even during the championship runs. So I am not down on this team yet. I am not hitting the panic button like many people did last night.

It is just 1 game. The Bulls won their first game. It doesn't mean that they will have a winning season.

To alot of people on this board, we will be seeing a Bulls/Warriors Finals because game 1 is indicative of an entire season. Don't forget, the Lakers have lost 2 games already. Fire Phil Jackson!!! Trade Kobe while we can get something for him!!!!

I predicted 48 wins in that thread about season predictions. I still stand by it. But it's a sorry debut for the *new* offense against a very damaged team that barely made the playoffs last year no matter how you spin it.
