Did Yao show improvement comparing to last year?

    Yes, he is easily pushed away sometimes and has trouble with fronting/zone defenses sometimes. Wow, he's not the perfect player. That doesn't mean he hasn't improved a lot!

    On his rebounding, I think he's improved. The stats may not show it, but I think he's learned to box out a little better, and he's learned to grab some that aren't right on top of his head (i.e. he can reach out some now and get a few). I think the stats will show it after a month.

    He *does* spin, get good position. He doesn't always get it, but that's a timing issue. The spin and the pass to the high-post man have to occur at the same time, along with a subsequent pass into Yao, knowing that he'll be there. Guys are hesitant, but they'll learn as they work at it. Last year it happened too, but last year we had guys that couldn't make the pass or weren't willing to work at it.
