So true. Mainly because u don't want that judgement before u hit the door.A guy named Tyrone is a brther. On a application or over the phone interview.
my ex boss is caucasian and his name is tracy. everytime i spoke of him they thought i was talking about a girl LOL.
Haha yea I heard it too... I thought they would correct it, but I guess not. I guess they do call him that.
I like Bill, I think he does a great job and I have even grown to like the job Bull does, he has improved. But If he called him Stacy on purpose that is bull****. Bullard doesn't like Tracy at all, when Bill brought up his name Bullard wouldn't even comment. Plus Bullard has made it known on his weekly radio show last year that he 's not the biggest fan on Tracy. How in the hell can Bullard say Tracy isn't tuff, he needs to look in the mirror or some of his old game tapes. While Tracy may not be the most rugged man in the world he is by far the best player the Rockets have had since Dream. When he is healthy he is a great player. Tracy is a high skilled player and when they have injuries it makes a bigger difference in there game than it does when someone like Chuck Hayes who gets by on heart and tuffness is injured.
I am nearly positive he didn't do it on purpose. He jacks up names all the time. However, I wouldn't be surprised if on his own time he has made Stacey jokes which, in turn, led to the subconscious gaffe on air. I have a cousin who has worked for 610 radio for years and he told me that a lot of people behind the scenes hate Worrell. He said that he's a pretty big a-hole that hates covering the Rockets. My cousin is nearly 40 and is one of the most decent people I know so I put a lot of faith in the things he tells me.

Bill W. an A-hole who doesn't like covering the Rockets? I never would have thought that, I like him and think he does a great job.
The plastic man doesn't approve of this conversation. https://www.beckett.com/images/pgitems/114160801.jpg
LMAO @ people that think Bill calls him Stacy off air. Y'all are reaching too hard. He's not some kid in middle school. There are other ways to show your displeasure for someone without having to resort to elementary name calling. I see Bill saying something along the lines of "Tmac is a b****." And not "Stacy McLady hehehehehe".
Ever heard of a regular plain ol' slip up? It still happens you know. Espeically as you get older and are doing something repetitive as sports commentary. Or do we have to assume Bill is a giddy school girl?
No, but I do think he has probably said it in the past, probably joking and it made it's way into the broadcast. Not on purpose, no malice, just an accident. DD

He could just have easily had said "Stacey" in reference to another person recently, had the name on his mind as a result, and that came out instead of "Tracy". Sounds similar, after all. I just can't see Bill Worrell joking around like that and calling him "Stacey" in his spare time.
You can tell that was pure accidental. Right after he blurted out Stacy, the slight pause was him going "Oh ****!" in his mind.
