Testing... <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Also back at practice today is Shaun Livingston, who missed practices last week due to a groin strain.</p>— Jason Friedman (@RocketsJCF) <a href="https://twitter.com/RocketsJCF/status/255370731645460481" data-datetime="2012-10-08T18:15:01+00:00">October 8, 2012</a></blockquote> Failed...*sigh*
Wait, what? He's going to fly to Hidalgo now? What am i not understanding? He says he has to drive to close games because the fewer the better for his health, but he's going to fly to one of the closest games he'll have all season?
That's a pretty good article by Aldridge. It would be really cool to see actual Rocket fans rally behind Royce in a similar fashion. For each of you hoping he gets cut and that we shouldn't have drafted him, I'm hoping he wins Rookie of the Year and dominates. Even if he has to miss a game or two.
Im glad that he's finally back and can at least start some training and practicing with the team. He will need to work hard with the team and learn the system as much as he can in order to have a decent to good rookie campaign.
didnt he said that he will buy the bus and make it feel like home? he will need some time to make it comfy
The bus is almost ready. They are just installing the stripper pole that Jeremy Lin told Royce to put in.
According to the link: So again, why did he miss a whole week of camp? It sounds like he spent most of his time tweeting and calling in for interviews. I'm still rooting for him, despite all of this, but he needs clean up his act, and get ready to play ball. You use the game to give back, not the other way around. Don't think the NBA can keep him from driving out there...and i imagine it's a team decision, whether he plays or not. Even if he's not allowed to dress, he should drive out there and sit with his team. His health can't be more important than money and basketball one week and then the other way around a week later...
Yes the NBA can. There are certain things that you just can't do or need permision for the league or your team prior to doing it. For example there are rules as to what you can do with teammates in terms of training together in the off-season.
I wish him the best but have serious doubts. I'll get behind him when he bonds with the team and starts producing on the court.
Right ... also the NBA doesn't want to set a precedent where a player can be diagnosed as having a stigma about certain things and be excused from their obligations. There is a lot more at stake here. For example what DR's are qualified for a diagnosis ? Many things this could effect going into the future.I could see players making all kinds of demands and getting some quack off the street to back them up...not saying that's the case with White but these issues need to be thought out.
