I'm more interested in this Toby Kissler than Webber. Was she a tease? j ------------------ Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!
Care to place a friendly wager what the seasons series will be between the King and Rockets if Webber is not in SAC this season? ------------------ Raef to Rocks in '01-'02! [This message has been edited by GATER (edited June 26, 2001).]
I'm pretty sure Barkley did not say he wanted to go to Houston *only* on or before Draft Day. If Davis said Orlando *only*, or even his 1st pick, then he is likely going to be investigated should he sign with Orlando. That can simply be jockeying for salary position knowing Orlando can't pay the max, and working the public to get the max from someone else. The ruling is has follows: Since free agents cannot speak to other teams (expressed or implied) until July 1st, Webber naming his team would count as an "Undisclosed Agreement" should it consummate. To me, that is cut and dry. The penalty is the Minnesota penalty. The team can be fined $3m and lose draft picks and the contract can be voided. With a name like Toby Kissler, what do you think? She was more of a tease than Webber, that's for sure.
That would be an unfair wager at this point.. All indications have Webber staying in Sac. So do you think Houston will win one this next season? ------------------
The Kings resign Webber and win the regular season matchup vs. the Rockets. Wow, your powers of observation, in-depth analysis, comprehension of mismatches and innate ability to evaluate talent places you at an elite level where only a handful of recognized basketball minds reside. Why are you wasting you're time here? You need to take your talents directly to the Kings' front office. And I thought masters of the obvious were an extinct species. ------------------ GATER
This is my first time posting here so be gentle with me guys. I'm curious why everyone seems to paint Sacramento as some cultural barren wasteland surrounded by farmland, rednecks and not much else. I spent most of my life there, moved to Texas last year. Sacramento is a city of more than 1 million people, the state capitol by the way, with a large Black population...heck, they even have a Hard Rock Cafe. If Chris is looking for soul food, go to Herietta's on Watt Ave and A St. My point is that if Webber leaves Sacramento, it's not because he's been stranded in some backwater village (you know what they say about excuses) it's simply because he thinks he can do better somewhere else, I happen to think he's wrong. ------------------
Welcome, Neffy! One question: Are you a Rockets fan, or a displaced Kings fan visiting this site to keep up with the Webber sweepstakes? ------------------ Beware the blank post! Ain't Miss Be haven!
