Rodman was never a true cancer. His teams won. Pistons, Spurs, Bulls. He was an enforcer that brought back the art of rebounding. Cousins is not only a major attitude risk, but he has never shown to be a team player on a winning ball club. It's harder to assimilate a player that has those qualities and in which you HAVE to give the ball to in order for that player to be effective. So, apples to oranges on the comparison. Rodman doesn't play here.
Nobody that has watched the game for some time would believe that Cousins would be a better fit in the Rockets system. Capela fits the mold of this team much better
Lol Cousins hasn't played with winning teams or organizations. Man when AD and Cousins was on the court in New Orleans they gave the Rockets hell that game where Cousins tore his achilles there is no denying that.
Facts are facts its a 12 month minimum injury, even then he will have no conditioning behind him. I see no need for him whatsoever with Clint at the 5 for us.
And yet that team was still far from elite. Only reason they won was because half of the league was tanking. Cousins only shot at obtaining a ring is with the Warriors as a 4th or 5th option. There's no fixing stupid and Cousins is as stupid as they come when it comes to keeping his head in the game and playing to win. And the fact remains, Rodman won games because he was not the #1 option on a team. Cousins commands that #1 or #2 option for his ego. Big difference in comparing the two players together. That is what this debate is about: comparing Rodman to Cousins.
I just don't think it matters. Boogie is cancer. There is a reason, beyond his achilles, that he only received 1 offer for 5.4 Million. Stop projecting on what harden is doing. You have no idea who he's talking to, texting, or has with him in China.
I have a source who is actually a part of the team (can't reveal who, but a few here can vouch for me). He said the team did NOT make an offer to Boogie, for the reason that he simply "did not fit what we're trying to do." I'm guessing they might have reassessed that if Clint had signed elsewhere and Boogie was still available, but who knows?
When I put the avatar up there were substantial talks ongoing. Not the case now. I'm waiting to change it.
Who's being the homer here? Cousins just tore his achilles so what you should be saying is he WAS an all NBA player who is now in his late 20s, weighs over 270lbs, and just tore the tendon that connects his foot to his calf(in a sports where you are jumping constantly so don't give me football player comps because the sports requires entirely different skills). ....and yes, it is possible for one player to be better for a system than another player who is overall better - Boogie, for all his talents, doesn't screen and roll and we happen to have two of the best screen and roll playmakers of all time on our roster. That means in order for Paul and Harden to do what they do best either perpetual malcontent Boogie would have to all of a sudden start playing a totally different way or Houston would have to change how Harden and Paul work in the offense...what good does having a better player at one position if it weakens the strengths of TWO 'all NBA players' at another position(a position that generates the offense for the rest of the roster)? Come on man - use your brain. Capela is good enough and more importantly he perfectly complements the gifts of Paul and Harden. What you are suggesting is one step forward, two steps back....
Did AD push Boogie to GSW? http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/new...davis-julius-randle/uregovnl65u210r7y41f82khu
Exactly... THIS "Davis liked the style the Pels started to play without Cousins, and he also liked the environment in the locker room more with Boogie absent."
