This is like saying a football team is a failure because every offensive play is theoretically designed to score a touchdown, ergo every non-touchdown play "is a failure".

I guess this is technically correct, and practically skullfraggingly dumb (and this is coming from somebody who thinks they should have tanked/be tanking).

    Enough with the semantic r****dation.

I wouldn't be surprised if Steve Francis has one lying around the house somewhere as a commemorative of the early 00's glory years.

That dildo you speak of still comes cheaper and has seen more court time than Thabeet.

People overlooking that the Rockets finally added a point guard who can run the pick and roll.

I was looking for a Bima post. Has anyone seen how these moves will effect our cap situation now?

Most Improved Player & one of the best (still) wing defenders in the league for a widely renowned bust, a backup PG, and two late first rounders.

    Man, what a stockpile.

Declaring someone a bust after 1.5 season on the Grizzlies isn't saying much. Morey and the Rockets will take their chances.

I personally loved the moves... Battier was a great team guy but he was brought in during the TMAC Yao era as the glue guy... We are no longer in that era however so we needed to move in a new direction and rather then get Perkins or any other okay C (Pryzbilla) and fight for the eight seat and be one and done... We got guys with upside in HT and GD but most valuable may be those two picks... come draft time those picks are going to have solid value... everyone forgets what pick Aaron Brooks was and the value DM can find in the first round of any draft. DM looked for the big trade it wasn't there so in the end he acquired more assists so that one day we will have that STAR... I loved the moves

What's the score and what quarter are we in? Morey doesn't have a lifetime contract.

Why didn't we attempt to trade for OJ Mayo for "upside?"

I was right about Thabeet and Terrence Williams coming here.

I also had a feeling we would go for Mayo but I guess we never had any interest in him...

Anyways, did we not see any potential left in Mayo or he was just a head case????

Because we already picked up Hasheem Thabeet for "upside".

    True.

I was predicting he would come here even though I took the tinman heat saying my thread title was wrong. ;)

But, we had other assets to trade for Mayo, some expirings...

Memphis wanted a big... so either we did not want to give up one or they did not like what we had.

We have C-Lee i guess... I def think O.J. has the greater upside as a go to scorer though.... Idk, i think with mayo your committing to him being your future scorer and with Lee we can trade Martin for a superstar at sf later and put Lee at sg cus he can play off of stars without shots...
    I did want OJ though..

Because OJ Mayo's upside is Courtney Lee and we already have Lee.

Thabeet is all upside... When you're at the bottom of a well, the only way to go is up...

Obviously because Memphis didn't want to trade him.

    You can't be serious
