"please please please give me permission to say the n-word. I really wanna say it and not be called out for being what you think I am" - thread Rocket River Why do you wanna say it so much? Well . . YOU CAN'T . . LIVE WITH IT!!!
Really, what's the big deal to some people about this. do you think black people are getting over. hey, you're over represented in poverty and prison statistics, and unemployment statistics, but you have the right to say the N word. blasaphemy
Everyone one in this thread got trolled hard by ronny. He is possibly the most awesome troll on clutchfans.
given ronny's history, I'm pretty sure he was serious about the question, and other people are as well given the thread
Really? I couldn't care less about being able to say the word.( and if I wanted to, I'd say the damn word)..... My point is why everyone thinks "the world trade center is falling again" after someone says the N word(non-black)...when rapper plies says cracker in a SONG ten times and it isn't even brought up. Your post was infantile.
PGab I honestly dont know why people care so bad why Blacks say and they cant either. Why would they want to say that word? The connotation in which blacks use it with each others is percieved much different than when someone else says it. Think about your mom calling you a certain name but no one else can call you that and mean the same thing as she did. Their is a different meaning it has from her than it has from somewhere else. If a white person said that to me, I cant see how they are just being "nice" and cordial with it. Blacks have shared the application of that name being used against them so they understand that another black person calling them that cant truly be used negatively b/c it would be like the pot calling the tea kettle black in reference to how it has been used against our culture. What has been done is the power in which that negative word has, has been turned on itself and is now a term of endearment. Doesn't mean its right but it doesnt matter except to whom the participants are.
Well when I was in middle school, my black friends said there are 2 types of N-words. One ends in an "a" and one ends in "e-r". It was ok for me to say the former and that was that. Of course I stopped using the word long ago but that's how it was explained to me back then.
You ever notice how when white supremacists or other non-notable whites or other races use the word there is much of a hoopla because, well they're not that respected by most people. I'd say the same thing about the example you just gave about Plies. Does anybody really give a **** about his opinion?
I love how people think it is unfair that certain people get to do things that other people don't get to do. Rich people get richer because they are rich. Girls get off on traffic tickets more often than dudes by crying. Black people get to say crap white people can't say. It is fair? Dunno. As they say, 'it is what it is'. We have lots of important things to worry about in life so consider yourself VERY lucky if you time in your day to worry about this issue.
If you say the words "******" and "cracker" and all the other derogatory slurs.....you shouldn't be respected in the first place. There's gonna always be ignorant blacks that say "cracker"..."white boy"....and there's always gonna be ignorant whites that say "******". but as long as there is racist blacks saying "cracker" on the radio.....and slutty white girls saying ****** on viral youtube videos....this debate will never end. Those types of people will never go away.....but the media should do a better job of strictly abolishing any type of racial slurs....it would at least be a start.
I agree but what I meant by the respected comment is if say Bush or Obama or any other notable person used one of those words, you'd see a lot more backlash than if some random person used it. Nobody really cares if you're not somebody. True. Even if those were eliminated the debate would still rage on. Your quote above even agrees with that. Unfortunately the media won't do that. They're job now is to secure viewers/advertising dollars first, report the news next. Sad but true.
this thread fails to serve b/c there are not any pictures of said hot blond girl!!! Come on internets. we have her first name... somoene must know where she goes to school after all of that. Go go go internets!
