Reggie Bush, Vince Young and the eventual drafting of Super Mario Williams has given us all a boat load of classic moment.

These threads will be bestsellers months and years down the road. If I am Clutch I will put a price premium on them for anyone who wants to see it in the far future.

    Keep it coming guys.

    No mistake whatsoever.

We have a vetern QB with his first real chance at being behind a good line.

We have a running back that was not only ROY but has 1000+ per season average, and 4.1 per carry average.... also now behind that same good line.

We have a great pair of receivers for the first time in team history.

    ^all before the draft.

We had the worst defense with hardly a sack to it's name last season...

^and that was firmly addressed with pick #1 overall, and pick #33 overall.

    No mistake.

Some folks are just football geniuses I guess.

Don't forget our very productive offseason FA signings... and our new all-star coaching staff.

This is gonna be good. ;)

Whats the big deal about this number 1 pick? Don't worry, the Texans will have the number 1 pick again next year. 0-16. What a joke of a franchise. I hope they get smoked in every game.

I think this draft is comparable to the Yao draft a few years ago.
To sum up my opinon I'll cite (approximatly!) Clutch: "Don't pass on greatness when it comes knocking at your door!"
Williams i good and makes us a solid defensive team, but one of the others (Bush, Young...) is great and makes us an exciting team!

What i am worried about is how the bandwagon fans going to treat Mario? He doesn't deserve the boos. The unintelligent fans will not think that Mario can help us in more ways then Bush ever will. They won't understand that stacking up on offense will not help you make stops.

Also, fans should give standing ovation to Mario and GMs coaches for standing against every media source. We really needed a DEFENSIVE PLAYER. Bush can play RB, WR, and punt returner but we are good at every single position. He wouldn't help us much. On the other side we will surround our Defense around Mario. It isn't easy to ignore all the hype that media created about Bush. Bush will help a certain team, and that team isn't ours.

All i hope is that our own fans don't take any confidence away from Mario. Let the kid play and than we can evaluate him. Give him a chance. Let this season be like the Astros last season. We don't need superstars, this team needs unity and with unity we will succeed. I BELIEVE. DO YOU?

How many people do you know that are 6'7" tall weighing 300 pounds and run a 4.67 40.

    None.

I don't know what any of these players will do in the NFL but one thing is certain, Mario Williams is a one of a kind freak of nature tallent. Vince Young is just a normal Joe compared to this guy.

Come on that is just laughable......

Vince Runs a 4.5 - 4.6 and weighs in at 240lbs and can throw the ball 65+ yards, and is 6'5"........equally freakish if you ask me.

I rate it a mistake, thus voted its a big mistake due to "rounding" ;) The mistake is that the Texans did not trade the pick.

If Bush is really a franchise back that is only seen 1 out of 10 years, the Texans could have easily moved the pick for great value (2 #1s + 2 #2). I suspect the Texans never got that offer, which implies to me that The League might collectively think that Bush is overrated. If the Texans got that offer and turned it down, now we taling big mistake.

Isn't it funny how a part time RB in college like Bush gets drafted by a team that has a great starting RB and will likely only play Bush part time (while making him one of the highest paid players in the league)?

They will go 0-17. The NFL will add a loss to their record because of not picking Reggie.

    THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!!!!

this is EXACTLY what i was asking on Friday. how can this guy be soooooo valuable...and you can't get anything for him? i'm with you..if the texans got a legit offer and didn't take it, then shame on them. that's just stupid.

Seriously, Friday is probably one of the worst days in Houston sports history. The only days that were worse are probably: UH vs. NC State, Astros/Mets game 6, maybe some Oilers/Steelers Championship games. Friday was worse than Oilers/Bills because that game we could all see it coming and it was sort of funny at the end. Well on the bright side, since half of New Orleans lives in Houston anyways and the two cities are basically merged, Reggie Bush is sort of in Houston too right? :(

Drama Queen, much? Are you the same guy on 610 who said he felt worse after the first pick than when the Astros lost the World Series?

Nope that wasn't me. I didn't feel too bad after the Astros lost the World Series because you could see that happen and thus expected it after the first few games. But this was just like getting hit by a 19 wheeler. Just in grief, give me a few days and I'll get over it. :)
