We only beat 2 quality teams so far. The others our starting 5 can destroy. The bench usually lost the lead a bit when they played. Lin will be missed when the bench isn't scoring well.

The Rockets aren't good enough not to miss Jeremy Lin. That's it.

He is not that special and replaceable/ expendable. The team proved it. We have greater needs that need to be filled rather than keeping lin.

Rockets will keep Lin and upgrade the team at the same time, when they trade Asik and Beverley.

Anybody who is not an idiot can see Lin helps this team. He is not the most important player on the team. I think even most of the LOF know that. They just want to see their guy play and sometimes see with Lin colored glasses. That's not such a terrible thing. I do that when watching the Rockets at times. It is normal. When Lin is out this team suffers, when Parsons is out they suffer. When they both are out the team suffers more. We can compensate without certain players against certain teams but the reason Lin and Parsons are in the lineup because they help us win. This doesn't even need to be said. It is so obvious. the end

this type of junk is what is annoying, when people take shots at Beverley just because they share something with Lin.These people couldn't care less about the Rockets and Lin don't care about all that ****e, he's all about "Team" and he and Beverley get along extremley well so GROW UP.

The defense has definitely improved without Lin. We're currently 8th in defensive efficiency after a brutal start to the season on that end. His biggest strength is his ability to score but Brooks has shown he can replicate that when he's gotten minutes.

Fact is Brooks and Beverley are both proven in the playoffs while Lin has been "injured" in the post-season two years in a row now, we're still not sure whether we can count on him when defenses tighten and players are more active.

Anyway I think this team needs a serviceable backup for Parsons more than Jeremy Lin. If we can trade him for an elite defender that can knock down the 3 but can also slow down the likes of Durant, LBJ, Melo, George, Kobe etc I'd let him go in an instant.

The Rockets played very well without Harden. But no one would deny that Harden is important to the team.

So that kind of reasoning from just a few games that included good wins (Spurs), and some embarrassing losses (Jazz), is just poor.

Lin is a very good player, with a heck of an upside. If Houston fails to appreciate how much, then I believe that will be their loss.

    Great post.

Lin is having a fantastic season, of course he's missed. The offensive gap between Lin and Brooks/Beverley is enormous.

The Rockets miss his dribble penetration and playmaking the most.

The presence of Aaron Brooks has mitigated the loss of Lin to an extent, but other than Harden there is no other reliable dribble penetration threat on this team.

Yeah, no contender could possibly use one of the best driving/finishing guards in the league who just may actually also be a pretty lethal 3-point shooter.

Jeremy looked very sad out there tonight. He looked like he didn't want to be there. I don't think he wants to be traded from Houston. Anyway, I got my photo taken with him. So eat that **** Lin fan boys. Now what?

I didn't get a chance to tell him that his loser ass fans are delusional and annoying. It's cause I have a heart unfortunately, and he looked real sad.

Well only time will tell right. Let's see what happens.

I think Lin will get traded though. His value is high right now and the team can play well enough without him. Hard to tell whether he is truly needed until we play more tougher teams. The magic and a few others are just not worthy competition to really test that.

It takes more than 6 games to be "proven". And to believe that 09 Brooks can magically show up for an extended amount of games is a ****ing pipe dream. Sure he might give you a game here and there but the last 5 games have shown that using him in extended usage no where near replicates Lin's production. This whole proven in the playoffs thing is a damn joke. Beverley ****ed up Westbrook's knee and allowed his back up to have a decent series. Good for him. If you seriously want to stick with Patrick Beverely who has one of the worst starting pg PER in the league and Aaron Brooks who is a shadow of his 09 self then you are delusional.

I've never taken any shots at Beverley. I think he is a good player but I know that Lin is clearly better. Beverley is a good guy, good player, and great trade chip that the Rockets will use to upgrade.

If you consider that to be a "shot at Beverley", then you are the one who has some issue/agenda, not me.

My only agenda is supporting the Rockets.

Prepare to be disappointed. Lin's contract is gonna be hard to move. He has a sweetheart deal in Houston because Les loves him.

The way Lin is being used on this team, I'd say Lin is not being missed much. Yes, we are a better team with him. But the difference is not that big. We are a good team with or without him.

In fact, I don't think anyone on the rockets outside of Howard and Chandler would make this team miss them. Harden? I love beard's left, but we are just as good without him. Lin? The way he is used this year, he is just an above average scorer, nothing more. There are tons of them in the league. Jones? My favorite player right now, but we are just as good without him.

I'm not saying these players do not make this team better, they do. I just feel without any one player(besides howard and Chandler), we would still have a similar record. Missing Howard or Chandler on the other hand, would cost us at least 5 games in the win column. D12, with all his faults, is a legitmate superstar. Chandler, glue guy, plus, who plays behind him...

We have a very good team this year. Enjoy the ride.

The Rockets are in desperate need of a very good pg, Lin is the only very good pg on this team.
