Our second unit definitely missed Lin. It was plain to see and with that our starters missed Lin. If you look at the minutes played by our starters, particularly Bev and Harden, their minutes have been really high with Lin out. Even with the convincing wins with Golden State, Harden played his season average. But definitely our second unit can use a creator and playmaker.

The way this team is built, primarily with our half court offense being drive and kick, we need any two of Harden, Lin or Parsons on the floor to be super effective. I'm positive that if we had Harden with Lin, we wouldn't have lost those games against the Jazz and Suns. If it's only Harden, defenses will collapse on him same for if it's only Lin or Parsons out there. No one else on our team is on the level of drive and kick as those three players. Not Brooks, Beverly or Casspi.

Pretty much this, Lin can get to the basket, provides us with another edge that we will need

We would have felt the hit, but AB played exceptionally poised.

Lin is essential to this team. He was obviously missed not just by the fans but the whole organization.

They actually played better in some. Brooks was the leading scorer in 4 of the last couple of games since Lin has been out. He is inconsistent right now because he is getting used to the pt. but "on" brooks, is a better for for this team than Lin, as much as I do miss that drive in the lane pivot pass that leads to a t.o.

That last statement was actually a joke. There are some games when brooks is off that I think, damn wish Lin was playing instead and with Lin I say that about brooks. Are there some games that Lin would have been better than brooks? Absolutely. Are there some games brooks as better than Lin? Absolutely. Not much of a drop off with his absence tbh.

The Rockets miss Lin enormously. His drives to the basket are game changers and his three pointers come in handy. Beverly has struggled offensively and Brooks is inconsistent. We need all three.

The Rockets are deep enough that they should be able to get wins in the regular season missing a rotational player here and there. Missing 2 of Harden, Howard, Parsons, Lin is tough.

Another Knee-Jerk thread! It's almost as bad as "We don't need Harden back from his foot injury cause were winning games" threads.
