With JVG the Knicks had a +.500 record and went to the NBA finalls. Without JVG the Knicks started losing and became a lottery team. I'm not Einstein but this could mean that he is a good coach.

    Why did Gundy quit NY?

More relevant, is he going to quit the Rockets when he realizes just how humid it gets in Houston in the Summer?

What about when Blinebury starts making fun of his hair?

Will it be enough to make him quit here when Moochie ignores his instructions and dribbles away the shot clock only to throw up a clownish shot that would embarrass the Moscow Circus?

What if he doesnt like Stucchi's ice cream?

Whatever else may be said about this lateral hire, Gundy is a quitter.

Look Gundy has alot to prove. Who did he teach in NY. He was given a Veteran team. Riley is a teacher, Brown is a Teacher. Come on Bill Fitch brought the Rockets to the Finals so he's a great coach. What ever.

It's really very simple. Just answer the question.

Do you or do you not think Rudy deserve all the credits for the 2 rings?

The fact of the matter is you are very bias.

You denied JVG any credit for what he's accomplished and it looks like you will find excuses (lame ones) to deny him the credits he might earn here with the Rockets.

Why the hatred? All it does is consumes yourself. Let it go, be open minded. Have a little love, a little faith. You will enjoy these coming seasons a lot more.

Why did the NY management quit on him first?

Also, Van Gundy is his last name, not Gundy.

Van Gundy has nothing to prove to anyone, and thats why he was the first choice of the Rockets.

No. Larry Brown was the #1 choice.

Look Rudy brought young talent w/old to win Championships. He made this teamDream was the team. GUndy or Gummy is his name to me has not proven combine and win until then always next year GETS OLD.

Where did you hear this? ESPN? The general opinion of the board? Go back in time and check some articles of Les hinting who he wanted.

Let me guess Sleepy, you wanted Dumbleavy?? Or better yet, let's keep Rudy so the team can still run around in circles for the next decade. Van Gundy is a disciplinarian, and this team is in dire need of discipline, so it was a good hire. And yes we will be better next year BECAUSE of Van Gundy and the DISCPLINE he brings.

Well said. Like it or not, Rox's new head coach will be JVG, welcome him, if he succeed, Rox succeed.
I'll looking forward for this coming season.

I wanted Brown. The top choice. If youre going to change make the right change. Van Gundy is not the right mix for this team.

Go big or stay at home.

JVG wasn't my #1 choice either, but now that he's here, why not root for him to improve the team instead of cry about it?

I hope he brings us to the big show.
