And if you're worried about defense, look at J-Rich last year. He's not great defensively but he's rock solid. When you're playing zone you need a mobile wing guy like him who can contest shots and take chargers when guards come into the paint. How do you think his Suns got into the WCF then? he was huge for them.

Orlando should be able to handle Miami now with few problems.

magic has so many guards!!! especially at point... we should trade battier for one of them and then trade brooks + fillers for an all star player..

I thought it was important to get rid of Rashard Lewis , and Vince Carter has been declining over the last few years. The only thing that i didn't like was losing Gortat ..... He seem to be some overrated in some cases , but he is still valuable.

This trade reminds me a lot of the types of moves Cleveland was making when they had Lebron in trying to surround him with a strong supporting cast. Hopefully Dwight doesnt jet out of Orlando when his contracts up.

I appluad their management for coming to terms with reality and recognizing that their roster wasnt good enough to overcome the likes of Boston and Miami in the playoffs. The best fit for this team out of all the players they got was Turkoglu. He was a key for them when they made the finals and isnt afraid to take big shots.

Managing J-Rich and Arenas is going to be the challenging part. Both are fairly one dimensional players, and although I havent seen enough of Richardson to comment, I've seen a lot of Arenas living in DC and know that his playing style for his entire tenure in DC has required him to hold on to the ball alot and pretty much have a green light to shoot some very low percentage shots when he thought they were available. I think the trade only makes them marginally better for the time being, and for them to get over the hump I think they'll need another trade to alleviate the log jam at certain positions in hopes of fortifying others.

Spurs gave up midway into the third. They've been playing the bench since then. Don't think Pops was ready for this game. I don't think this game proves the Magic are good or not. When the Spurs meet them again, they won't win.

Well this is the first time the Magic actually had a chance to practice with this new team. Im not saying the Magic are gonna win the title , just saying people need to give time for this team to gel !!

Arenas is toying with a triple dub -- he's racked up 14 pts., 9 ast., and 6 rbs. off the bench. Dwight being Dwight with 24 and 12.

This team's scary good. I have a strong interest in the East for the first time in years... Magic, Celtics, and Heat are going to battle for the crown.

There is still about 8 mins left , with a 17 pt lead . It seems normal to have Howard .

Plus this team needs to play together as much as they can , since they need time to really gell on offensively / defensively . The team was put together just few days ago .

Chris Quinn is the most useless player taking up a roster spot in the league

The Magic now resemble the 94-95 Houston Rockets ...of course Howard doesnt have the skills Hakeem had, but good enough for today's era.

Well if its not gonna be us I'd rather have Hakeem 0.75 and Super Mario win the crown over the Lakers, Spurs, Celtics and Miami.

Yeah, they can create, But Arenas hasn't been the same since the Knee surgery. Him and Jrich is capable of creating, but not at an elite level, and not THAT much more than what VC can do IMO, though Arenas is younger

Dwight is the most dominante big man since prime Duncan and Shaq in the early 90's. He effects the game on both sides of the ball like no other
